I'm in the final stages of my AOS; awaiting the interview. I want to travel back home to Canada to attend a wedding, but am fearful that I'd have to cut it short or change the date once I get my interview. My question is simple, do you get notified online for the interview date, or does a letter simply show up with the information. What I can see from other posts is in many cases a letter for the interview shows up shortly after your EAD and AP have been granted. I can't find anyone who has posted that they got notified through email, then the letter showed up shortly after that. I have received both my AP and EAD, so I am hopeful that I'll have a date soon. Can anyone share their experiences?

There is no email notification or touches. Only a letter. Usually the letter tells you you have a date a month in advance, so you have time to schedule and plan. Good luck.

EDIT: Also, the interview letter is on a different timeline from your EAD and AP. The EAD and AP are processed at the National Benefits Center, but your interview and overall adjudication takes place at your local office. The interview will be scheduled as soon as your local office has an available appointment, regardless of what has happened or is happening with your EAD/AP.
