K1:VSC--why is the timeline getting worse?

Hi all,

relatively new at this. Why is it that the date VSC is processing at keeps getting earlier instead of later? It was saying early August and now we are back to July? I don't get it.

NOA1 17 Sept 10

Touched 3 Oct 10

Placed Service Request 25 March 11

NOA2 4 April 11

Left NVC 15 April 11

Packet 3 letter dated 19 April 11

Packet 3 response sent 6 May 11

Interview 26 May 11

K1 received 1 June 11

Entered US 26 June 11

Married 6 August 11

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

I expect the whole process to take longer than the 5 months since they are getting more backlogged and I have read the comments. However I thought they processed in order of reciept. For example I expect to look at the timeline one day and see 'NOA2 dates being processed today = Aug 1' and in a day or two the 'NOA2 dates being processed = Aug 2'. Instead we went from August 3 to July 31 through VSC. How is it possible to go backwards??
