I need anybody;s help. I have NOA 1 July 17. Almost 6 months. I called USCIS many times without any results. INFOPASS gave me an appointment for today but I just saw the notice online that they are holding the process because they are requesting initial evidence after all this time. Should I still go to the appointment? Or will it not matter because I still have to wait for the letter to come in the mail?

You can go to the appointment and ask if they can print the letter for you or see if they can tell you what it is so you can collect the RFE papers to have them ready to send back when you get the mail from them. They usually tell you to wait to get the RFE in the mail and that theres nothing they can do for you right now.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I think i dont go. If i go, they are going to tell me.....wait for the letter.

But i am very angry. Why they wait 6 months to ask.I am going to visit my lawyer.

This is actually pretty good news. It means your case finally rose to the top of the pile. Send them what they want, and you should have an approval about 2 weeks after that. Your lawyer can't do anything for you.

You give me hope now, and i need too much.Thank you.But i feel so angry. I got my NOA1 July 17.Touch July 23 and October 3.Today is 174 days. Why they ask for evidence today? Because i try to find out what happen with our case? This is NOT fair. Thank you.

Well the reason you didn't hear about it until now is because your file was sitting in a box somewhere waiting for it's turn to be looked at by an adjudicator. Now they finally pulled it out and dusted it off.

Looks like you would have been approved it not for this RFE. It's really not a big deal. Give them what they are asking for, and you'll more than likely be approved in the next 2 weeks
