Diana thanks for the link  .... and so .... I'll be with you :D:P

Welcome to the thread!

I went ahead and added you to our filers list.

See the link in my signature.

You can update touches, or any changes to your case status there.

---

Welcome to the start of another week January filers!

The early January filers are just starting to reach the 60-day mark.

I'm hoping that CSC picks up the pace a bit this week. They kind of dragged last week.

And, of course, I'm hoping VSC gets off their butts and starts making some headway through their backlog.

Time to get some work done!

From California Service Center in response to my concern about revisions I sent in and the original petition file being married up:

Your case is in transit to an Officer for adjudication. You should receive a notice of action within 35 days.

With all the recent activity around January and February filers, and this, I would advise those that have things to be accomplished to be prepared.

People. I've been meaning to ask for your advice / knowledge about something. The dreadful vaccines/shots!! <dun dun DUN>

So luckly and thanks to my beloved and awesome mother, I still have my vaccins table thingy where they say that I have ALL the shots but one... the HEP B one...

I was sick most of feb. and couldn't really start with the shots in time (takes 6 months to get the 3 total) :bonk::rofl: do you think it's going to be an issue if I have all of them except for that one? I've read that you need them all for the AOS, but not necessarily for the K1 medical... is this true???

Ill whole heartedly appreciate ur inputs!!

God Bless,

Diana

Okay.

I've gotten antsy every time our case has been touched.

But I've managed to get over it after a few days.

Now you've got me going again.

Are you actually required to have that vaccination?

I can't seem to find anything on the US-Embassy Guatamala site, but on the UK one, it shows that Hep B is only needed if you are age 18 or under. The only ones it shows for 19+ is Td/Tdap, MMR, and Varicella (chicken pox).

As far as I'm aware, you don't /need/ to have the vaccinations for the K-1, but it is required for the AOS, so it's suggested you get them before/during the K-1 medical.

That was not my intent. Just reporting what I was told, so people could be informed.

It's not a /bad/ thing.

No worries!

I would be happy just to be able to see my case status online.... sigh...........

I did call the USCIS customer service people again on Friday. I got thru to the 2nd level person. She was nice enough. I asked her to please, please, please put a message thru to the IT people on my behalf and she said she would. She did not give me any time frame though.

Hmmm.....i'm not sure if its a must have in the US but I do know my fiance had his when he was in school. In Canada we all got the Hep B shot too in High School.....or was it Hep A?!...pretty sure it was Hep B. Anyway, if its mandatory that we had to get the shots while we were in school I would assume that its a mandatory thing to have the immigrants receive it as well. Its good to have the shot anyways now a days.

I got my Hep A, followed by a booster shot 1 year later, before i went to Mexico last year.

I'm not sure what the dosage is over there but for the Hep B we receivd 1 shot then 6 months later we received a 2nd shot, then the 3rd shot (booster) is 1 year later. It could be different in your country though.

With all that said I would recommend getting the Hep B! You may want to check in to whether or not you can get your booster shots in the US or if you have to have the full Vaccine before moving to the US.

Hello! Ive got the letter that they send with the package, but its in spanish. It's very confusing information. They give you the cost of the shots and the age range for them. (Hep B is from 0 to 17, like you said) but... at the end of the letter they say that every doctor is in charge of making sure we all have the following vaccines: and a huge list (i have all of them, except hep B). So they are sending mixed messages. That's why I was wondering.

http://travel.state.gov/pdf/medical/GTM-MED-SPAN-0001-0807.pdf

In case you understand spanish and want to give it a shot.

Thanks for your help.
