Hi ONA! You think they'll process us sooner? What's with the 'blue slip' and the 'special attention' thing in the rejection letter sent to us?

Nice to know it's not just us who experienced that.. It was rather frustrating because we prepared it for WEEKS! We checked everything, except that we did not check on the site before sending it.. Who who would have thought right? :bonk:

It is too bad a few of you won't be able to see eachother for V-day. I believe we are keeping ours very low key, more planning for the wedding and dinner.

Is anyone working on paperwork to pass the time between NoA1 and NoA2? I have been thinking about getting my policecheck because it lasts a year and may go do my medical but unsure if I should wait on that one. I am thinking I may order a long form birth certificate but unsure if I'll actually need it.

We've just started looking at places, will be our first place for both of us. Been deciding between Seattle and Spokane since she got accepted to both law schools. Seattle is definately more expensive but I'll probably have an easier time getting a job with my comp sci degree. Should be an interesting few months as we weigh the benefits of both.

I just ordered my long form birth certificate and was wondering if I should get the police check done as well?? Does anyone know if we need to wait for the consulate paperwork before getting the police check?

Are we all going to live in Texas? (I know not all of us, but sure feels like a lot of us are) Baby is a little worried about how I'm going to handle weather changes  Guatemala is blessed with a perfect weather pretty much all year long. (It feels like spring all year long... it can rain a little sometimes but... it's not that bad)

Random, huh? LOL

Heh. I'm from Chicago, so I'm not sure how much of a change it is from UK weather. I think we're a bit less 'mild' here, and the summers definitely require A.C. while I haven't seen very many houses that even have A.C. over there.

Hello everyone =)

We just joined VJ, and we are January petitioners as well.. Sent Jan 12, NOA1 Jan 13. =)

We originally sent in Nov 25, but it was sent back because of incorrect fee (*sigh*, we lost more than a month because of that)..

Anyway, I wish everyone luck, especially VSC and CSC luck too, in processing our petitions =)

By the way, not to be out of topic or anything, but have you guys noticed that nobody got NOA2 last Friday, 02/04...

Added you to the list!

You can find our group list via my signature.

It's public and update-able so you can edit it when needed.

And yeah, I noticed that there were no California NOA2s on Friday.

Probably nothing to be overly worried about. CSC seems pretty regular in their performance.

I wouldn't mind it if they picked up the pace and pulled a few weeks like VSC has been doing, though. :innocent:

Kata thinks he already has his long-form birth certificate.

We probably won't get the police certificate until closer to NOA2 time (since I may never be able to see updates, I may just wait until May and then start prodding him about getting it.)

Thanks TwoCats! Question, why is does DAYS TO NOA2 = 25 for us? I wouldn't mind if that happens, yipeeeee that's too near! :D:dance:

Heh.

Sorry if it's confusing, it's a 'count up' to the date you get it.

So think of it as the 'days since filing' or 'days waiting'.

So it means you've waited 25 days so far.

Has it been ONLY 25 days so far? It seems too long..

But thanks! :) That looks great.

Yeah, no kidding.

It's been 31 days for us, and it still feels like forever.

Even so, we're getting the first month behind us, slowly, and it's just that much closer to being with our loved ones.

So, how about a topic to pass the time?

We're coming up on Valentine's day in a little over a week.

Anyone have any plans for v-day? If yes, share!

If not, how have you spent previous Valentine's?

I'll even be nice and start. :innocent:

Kata's birthday is actually on Valentine's Day. I call it his 'Birthentine's Day' because I'm silly like that.

He's turning the big 2-5 this year, so I've taken to nicknaming him 'old man' (even though I turn 30 later this year, meep!). It's also because he fell asleep after Christmas dinner, and him and my father were both snoring in the living room while the rest of us were terribly amused.

Anyways, he's going up to Scotland to spend his birthday with his family, since I stole him for Christmas and New Years. They're combo-ing together all the holidays so he'll be doing Val-Christ-Birth-Year-ntines. He's promised me some Skype-time, though.

If I have time this week, I might try to work up an art piece for him (Did you know I did art? Cruddy cartoon art of cute fluffy animals, but still art. And no, I didn't do my sig picture or my icon.) Not sure if I'll have time, though.

Hmmm Valentines Day.....well me and a friend of mine are going to spend it together. She's going through a tough divorce right now so we've called it Idiot Day! She is going to come over and eat chocolate cake.....yes we sound like pigs!! Followed by doing a mini manicure and pedicure...WOAH real girlie i Know. Then you can't have a girls night without doing face masks . I do Hot Stone Massages so i'll also give her one of those followed by watching a movie. Boys get your heads out of the gutter and there will be no pillow fights :P Hopefully that will cheer her up on what seems to be a depressing time of year when you can't be with a loved one. It's better than having her sit at home though being all sad. Jay and I will do our Valentines on the 18th though because we'll be meeting in Montana for the weekend

I would be really glad if they do pay some 'special attention' to us, but as a person who was born and raised in Russia, i'm not used to believe such promises. my fiance hopes it's true though :D

and it sounds exactly like us! we started looking at all the information in august, then prepared everything, it took us so long and... BAM! the fee is wrong :( o well, at least it's cheaper  try always look on the bright side :) i wish they had taken that extra money, but we didn't lose a whole month though.

Hi guys! :) Does anyone know the number to call VSC about the online case status? I see in the January timeline that there are two VSC filers who got their NOA1 date after us and they report touches, meaning they are apparently able to check on their case status online and we still can't  Now that is messing with my head and makes me worry, so I would like for my fiance to call them up tomorrow.

Nevermind, it's this one, right? 1-800-375-5283.

I'm very interested to hear what he finds out. I cannot see my case online either. Maybe I'll call the number tomorrow too. The 'case checking' computer (???) said it was down for updates and maintenance all weekend. I was really hoping that our cases would magically appear once everything was back up and running... :hehe:

LOL I was hoping the exact same thing!! Well I'll have him call tomorrow. We are both NOA1 on the 18th and there are two with NOA1 on the 20th and 21st who can apparently check theirs. It's just driving me crazy that it's not there, making me worry that they have displaced our case or something. I just need someone to look at our case number and tell us they have our petition, and simply need more time to put it online or something. Just need an explanation
