Has anyone else ever read through some post on the forum only to find someone mentioning a mistake, or an issue they had, and it starts you (and worse your fiance') into a downward spiral of worrying? In that irrational way of: 'I can't do anything about this, and I don't even know if it will be an issue'. That's kind of where we're at today.

Nothing I want to discuss details on really, but it's stressful.

Hopefully it dies down and in a few days I'll go back to the whole 'we'll deal with problems if they come up and not worry about them until then' mentality.

cheer up TwoCats, we can do this!

Yes, I understand that completely. Almost everyday I read something that people have done that we didn't do in preparation or with our forms or whatever... I panic for a few moments and then try and find my zen place and remember what's done is done and and I just continue to make sure going forward I've done all I can do to keep my mind at ease.

Take a deep breath and know we are here for you and if you need to PM I'm here to listen. HUGZ!

It'll happen when it happens. All I know is that we are all getting married

Here here!! God willing we all marry soon !!! Considering the wait, it's minor as to the time of our lives we should all share together with our loved ones!

I guess I should get started on the cake!

TwoCats,

Keep your chin up! Things will be fine and RFE's are really not a problem to overcome if they do come at all. Plus, you have all of us here, JAN2011 Filers, behind you if you ever need us! So please do cheer up "kitty :luv: " cause I am sure your "Chis (L) " would not wish for you to be sad.

Well, toward the beginning of the year both processing centers were faster. They have both slowed down. I would plan on a 5 month wait at this point, from either. Not to be negative, just trying to set realistic expectations based on the data and statistics I have ran. Nice thing is, I do believe it is improving somewhat, but I will not be able to confirm that gut feeling until the publish the numbers for December and January. Keep the faith, it will happen!!!

To be honest, I'd be more than happy with that! To me that would be positive and not negative at this moment, as most are waiting way over 5, up to 6 or 7 months from VSC to have their petitions approved, so if it turns out to be in June that we are approved, I will be so happy  Of course, we might get lucky and they start getting back to where they were a year ago, but right now I'd be more than happy with an "only" 5 months wait. Just my two cents in the matter :P

It's very good to see VSC is finally moving again! So happy for July/August 2010 filers :)

I know exactly what you mean, and probably most of us do. On some days it's simply harder to stay optimistic and confident...remember when one January filer got their package sent back due to an abbreviation in the State/Province line? And I was so sure we would get ours back too since I abbreviated something in that line as well...and I am still worried we might get an RFE over it, but I realized I can't spent the next 5 months or more obsessing and stressing over this. :bonk: Gotta go against my nature and try to calm down, I always stress waaay too easily but in the end, we'll deal with it when, IF, something comes up. I hope you'll feel better and relaxed soon again, we're all in this together as everyone said and I'm sure if any one of us encounters any kind of problems, VJ will have a solution. :)

So every morning, Meghan (my daughter) asks me "When is it that Oksana and her daughters coming". Just like a child in the back seat of a car asking "Are we there yet!", she is asking "Are they here yet!" While I continue to tell her this summer, I am dreaming of it much sooner! Likewise Meghan thinks it is taking too long!

Btw divorce rate in K1, K3 cases match lower than average in USA. May be because it is so hard to get married that people don't want to loose it.

I can believe that. Oksana and I discussed our prior relationships and both have had our share of hurt and pain through the decisions of others. We both agreed this is it for us, that we know we will get through the wait and anything else. That and we know what we have is special, and does not happen every day based on our experiences. So I know we will contribute to the lower rate. We will marry later this summer and begin our lifetime together.

Good luck to everyone! I see a lot of diverse filers here x] which is awesome, any Swedes? I see Finland 8D I went there last summer with Johan, it's a beautiful country and last year was the record high in summer temperatures lol even a Maynard like me was sweating. *cough straying off topic* anyways I hope things go well for everyone. I'm prepared for the wait though. The good thing about VJ is it prepares you for both the worst and best based on the posts from everyone. I sent my petition out this past Friday. I just got my acceptance confirmation e-mail today that it was forwarded to VSC. :]

Welcome to the January filers.

I added you to our timeline sheet.

If you ever need to update/reference it, there is a link in my signature.

P.S.

Thank you to everyone for your support. I do appreciate it.

Kata and I decided that we're going to make sure I can be there for his interview, that way any hiccups that we're worried about (mostly revolving this being a second k-1 and my ex-husband, btw) should be minimized by the fact that we're both there to answer any questions they need.

That is cool!! Oksana is from Novosibirsk, lived there all her life and only been to Moscow once. If Lena is familiar with Moscow, I may have a few questions about location planning for when we are in Moscow for doctor and interview. Even for someone that speaks the language, it is probably best to go into this well prepared on where to stay and how to get from point A to point B without too many issues, especially since it can affect getting the visa!!!

TwoCats,

I am soo sorry I got your hubby's name wrong   How embarassing. But it is a great idea that you be there for your Kata (L) . I plan on being at my Rosalia's interview in Cuidad Juarez ( it being the most dangerous city this side of the earth ). This is a second K1 filing being done on my behalf. Hey, if worse comes to worse we marry over there in Chihuahua and file a CR1.

My sincere apologies 2 :luv: 's
