Have any of you read any other group forums?? I was reading a couple forums, like ours, and they were all at each others throats!! Boy am i glad we are all getting along and I hope it stays like that but I have no doubts.

I'm fairly behind in my readings here and I just got caught up! I can't believe how long you guys have to wait to see your sweeties :crying:. It puts things in perspective though. The longest Jason and I have been apart is 4 weeks. We are pretty lucky as its only a 10hour drive for us. Sometimes we meet in the middle on weekends but we usually stick to once a month visits. I guess I shouldn't complain about being apart any more as there are those, many of you, that have to be apart even longer. Guess i need to give my head a shake :bonk:

I'm fairly confident that we will see our visa's by August! Its all about faith guys! Keep up the positive attitudes

I agree carl24! Let's keep up the positivity. My fiance moves from Canada to the US tomorrow so I will soon be doing the monthly visits too. Can't wait for Feb 18th to see him and our new house.

Well I'm glad we all get along in here and I have no doubt as well that that won't change  Makes this process much easier and less stressful if we all get along and support each other!

4 weeks at the longest, huh, I'm envious :P but the way I see it when you are in love, whether you are separated from your baby for 4 weeks or 4 months, it all sucks because every single day of being apart hurts. So we are all in the same boat here ;) I can't wait to see my baby again in 46 days. That's all I can think about right now tbh!

I hope we will all be done with this process in August, that would be great and just the way I had planned it. I'd like to fly over in September visa in hand!

Yep..positive attitudes are great, especially when you are half a world away from your loved one. Nice to have support group in everyone here. You are very fortunate..next time I see my fiancée will be a couple days before the interview in Moscow. That is at least 5 months away, likely longer. I left Jan 9th, and wish I did not have to. This next time I do not plan to leave without her.

I agree.

We're just getting started, so keeping a positive attitude is the key to making it through the journey.

I've been thinking about dresses myself. My last wedding I just wore a women's suit (yeah, lame, I know).

I'm hoping to actually get some sort of dress this time.

I'm thinking of trying to get something from the renaissance faire they have up in Wisconsin.

I doubt I'll be able to get Kata into a kilt, though. Scottish as he is, he's not into wearing skirts.

Your positive mood is contagious :D We were actually planning for a September 18 wedding but pushed it now to October 2. Hopefully that will work out or I probably won't make it there this year since we wanna spend Christmas with my family in Germany, and filing for AOS and thus Advance Parole anything later than the first week of October would result in the AP document not being there in time to leave the U.S. before Christmas. But then my baby would come on Christmas to pick me up and I would fly in with him on my Visa after Christmas. It wouldn't be too tragic to wait another 2.5 months but I still hope for September/October to fly over, and have some of my friends from home there, as they would not be able to come in January.

Buuuut, I'm not trying to think about that too much now and hope VSC will speed up soon and approve I-129F's left and right

I've been ogling over dresses for weeks now, but of course they are all out of my price range :innocent: I want mermaid style, sweetheart neckline and ivory color. I like lace patterns, too. But I am dreading to schedule an appointment at a bridal store, I don't know, I just don't like the idea of all eyes being on me and having one or two sales persons to be only at my service, bringing me dress after dress to try on

That's a great plan! And yeah, it's totally worth the wait... Like I say, its not that bad, after all visa thingy lingy ends, you'll have forever and ever.. right?

Hubby to be is planning in picking me up too... If i get lost in the Houston Airport I'd probably just... cry? Naaa, but Id freak out a lil xD He also said that it's best for him to be with me and my family a couple of weeks so its not hard for me to just leave them like that... all alone. Hopefully and God willingly that's the way it's gonna be.

I would do 11/11/11 just because the date is cool, but I will not wait that long. Probably be a few days after entry so the paperwork on adjustment can begin. K1 paperwork had better be approved for a late wedding. Also so her kids can start school in August.

True! I just can't wait for forever to finally start, is all :P

That's such a thoughtful idea. I wish my hubby to be could do that but work isn't allowing him too. But my parents and a few friends will join me for the wedding and stay for 1-2 weeks shortly after I fly over, so it's not such a big deal. And I will probably fly through JFK again which I have gone through multiple times now, and have only made positive experiences :) Or via Dublin pre-clearance to JFK, just saw a real cheap flight for September but I doubt that will still be there once I can finally book a ticket :bonk:

We set our date for October and my wedding dress has been ordered! I couldn't wait to go dress shopping :P However, it very soon became a chore. Trying on 50 dresses is a workout i tell ya! haha.

My bridesmaids and myself even picked out there dresses too. We'll order those in March or April.

P.s. Are any of you suppose to be working right now?? I see like 7 people on this page. I don't know about you but i'm struggling more and more with keeping my focus on work. Even though my boss is so awesome I'm having troubles keeping focused. Somehow knowing that I'm done, and that Canada wont be my home much longer, sure does force me to have to MAKE myself work!
