Ideally, I'd love to be able to get a Halloween wedding, but I don't think that'll be possible with the courthouse. But I'd really like to get him here by November. We've got big local events we'd love to go to that he had to miss out on last year.

At the very latest, I'd really want him here before February.

I have family members who are getting married then, and I they don't care for me much as it is without adding to the problem by imposing our wedding date too close to theirs. Yes, they are that petty. I was told a year ago I was going to be a bridesmaid for their wedding, and now I'm apparently not because I've pissed off the bride-to-be who used to live with me (for free mind you, when she had no place else to go) by asking if I could cook dinner instead of waiting two hours for her to get home and cook every night, and refusing to let her dictate who could visit my house (aka my fiance'). </endrant>

Ashley and i are similar. After we met in May, i visited again in July and September, she came here only 3 weeks later in October then i went to Dallas for 2 weeks in DEcember and left 2 weeks ago, but she is here again in 4 weeks!! yay!

I visit again in april, her in June, me again in Aug! so hopefully by June we should have heard something i hope!!

We are both v lucky with our jobs tbh. She is an ICU nurse, so works 3 12hour night shifts a week, so when she visits here she can self schedule so she works the beginning of one week, has 3 nights holiday the next and then works late the week after, so we get 12 nights together. Whereas i have told my employer about filing the other day and they have agreed that i should be allowed whatever time off i want to make this happen. They have been soooo supportive! Basically saying that they know i will give 110 percent the time i am there so they would rather have me there till the day i leave, which is awesome.

I just wish we knew some sort of timeline on it, VSC is not giving me any hope right now. But i have it in my mind i will be in texas for thanksgiving... halloween if im lucky :)

I know vsc is slow right now but i am hoping what i am thiking is right in that they are getting the last of the TPS applications out the way, before totally concentrating on I129F's and clearing the backlog totally my spring :) i HOPE!!

Well thats me!!

Hope you are all doing good!!

Oh yes, I'm trying to hold on to that optimism too, that the TPS will be done with soon and then I-129F all the way. God I pray for that every day. Right now I'd even be happy to hear something after 5 months in the middle of June, and not 6 or even 7 months. I really hope VSC surprises us all :innocent:

Would love to, unfortunately this southern boy is now in Indianapolis. It is a nice city, but definitely not the south. Although, after my trip to Russia, not sure the south will let me back in...I have went from drinking ice tea to hot tea... :-)

Heh.

I'm a coder, too.

And my open tag was ignored in favor of random nonsense and silliness.
