Hi everyone! David's interview is tomorrow at the London Embassy and my nerves are shattered! Congrats to everyone past this stage..I so envy you right now!

Congratulations! and best wishes.... London is a very nice embassy, as long as you have all the documents everything will be fine. :thumbs:

Visa approved!! *dance*dance*. So happy!! But the only issue is that they stated it will take 14 business days to process before he gets it via courier. We were really hoping he could be here by the end of next week. Does anyone know if it really does take that long to get the visa in hand? He closes on the sale of his flat on Wednesday and it would be rather inconvenient for him to have to stay in England for an additional week.

Sadly I do not know if it'll arrive before then, but here is hoping. That gives them 6 business days if you include Saturday for shipping. Congratulations nonetheless.

So Jaime and I got married on the 21st, went really well. We're going to send the AoS paperwork after her schooling today. I really don't like not having cheques/debit/credit but that only needs to wait til Monday. I POE'd on the 19th and that went well for the most part. I had my bestman in the car and they didn't ask a question about him. It took about an hour to get through the line then only 5 minutes for k1 paperwork. The only issue, and it's an annoying one, is that the lady who did it (she was the third officer I got, the first 2 didn't know how to do a k1) said I couldn't import my car and that it would have to wait until the greencard. My insurance ends on the 15th so I think I'ma call first then head up Monday to find someone who knows a bit more.

For the AOS paperwork, I filed with a joint sponsor and had an incomplete medical (missing flu shot). I sent in Part 1 of the I-693/my DS2032 and a photocopy of the influenza record. Hopefully no RFEs but we'll play it by ear. At the very least, I am now with her now.

Hope yours go just as well, and if anyone has any questions about the AOS, I may be able to field 'em.

Did you have your vehicle compliance letter? I am crossing into Montana on Monday and I called ahead to tell them I was coming with a k-1 and vehicle. The agent said someone would be there to process the k-1 at 9am and to bring the compliance letter for my car.

She took them both too, knowing I was doing a K1 and made sure I had both but after finishing the k1 paperwork, she just said I couldn't do it. I'm going to call CBP today and see if there is someone who can do it on Monday.

Good luck!! Hope we both get it done on Monday. I'm a bit nervous but am hoping to deal with someone who knows what to do.

Hey guys. Congrats to all of you that have been approved, POE'd or gotten married. :)

Chris and I are getting married in a month and a half. I called the Social Security 1-800 number to see if I was in the system and the lady told me I was, so on Wednesday Chris and I went to the Social Security Office and applied for it. They gave me a letter saying Ill receive it by mail. It was super easy.

We are also applying for the Marriage License sometime this month, because the texas license is only valid for 30 days.

Mean while I've been super busy with wedding arrangements.

Mine made it to Edmonton on Tues after the Thurs interview. Didn't take long. Crossed at Sweetgrass Montana and it only took 20 min. Had compliance letter and it was easy to import my car. Wedding is less than 2 weeks away!! Hope all goes well for you Janis!

Thanks. My interview is on Fri. 23rd and my ticket to Seattle is Thur. 29th - decided to fly instead of train... might pay for expedited courier service, think I'll look into that.

You must be so excited!!! Are you getting married in Hawaii? We have tentative plans to get married on Wailaea Beach on Oct. 23 - exactly 1 year from our first date. All I have to do is get through the medical and interview and then I will be able to breath.

Medical done - forgot a copy of my K1 letter but had it on a thumb drive they printed it for me and my Tdap was out of date so I had to go get that done on Georgia St but all went well and my envelope was ready for pick-up by 1:15.

Visa went really well - didn't ask for any proof of relationship, just the basics. Now I am hoping and praying that it's ready for pick-up before my planned trip out of Canada on Thursday evening.

Can't wait to see my love in Hawaii and get married exactly 1 year on day and on the beach close to the place that we had our first date!!!

Then it's SSN application; I-765 (the application so I can work right away) and AOS.

Jan. 3/11: Together in Seattle for New Years - officially, ENGAGED got my ring and we got matching tattoos!
Jan. 8/11: Mailed K1 forms to Lockbox in Lewisville, TX
Jan. 11/11: Check cashed.
Jan. 12/11: NOA1 - Initial Review - Petition Received
Jan. 14/11: Last Touch
Jan. 17/11: Rec'd email notification with receipt number and notice that package was received and routed to Vermont for Processing. Able to logon within a day to check case.
Feb. 24/11: Mailed additional info to VSC
May 10/11: RFE email - May 12/11: RFE hard copy received
May 27/11: RFE reply received and being processed.
July 1/11: NOA2!!!
July 14/11: NVC forwards petition to Vancouver
July 21/11: Packet 3 received via email.
Aug. 7/11: Packed 3 emailed back
Aug. 8/11: Packet 4 letter received via email
Sept. 21/11: Medical - SUCCESS!!!!
Sept. 23/11: Visa Interview = SUCCESS!!!
Sept. 28/11: Visa in hand
Sept. 29/11: POE at YVR to Seattle
Oct. 23/11: Hawaii beach wedding
Jan. 12/12: 1-485 & 1-765 NOA hard copies received
Feb. 2/12: NOA - case transferred to California
Mar. 3/12: Biometrics Done!
Mar. 14/12: Work Permit card being printed (never arrived, lost in the mail)
May. 8/12: I-485 Approved - Green Card in the mail
May. 12/12: GREEN CARD!!!!!!!!!!!

Package Mailed then RFE then Interview... and finally:

Jan.21/15: 10 Year Green Card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
