I know this probably sounds silly, but when applying for a marriage license they ask for the social security numbers of bride and groom. My fiancee is just about to arrive from Thailand. She doesn't have a social security number. So how does that work? Thx

For some states to have a social security # is a requirement to get your marriage license. You may get one for while on a k1 visa before marriage, they advice you get it after 2 weeks of POE to make sure you are in the system.

OH MY GOSH IT IS HERE!!

Hamilton has his interview today and I feel so nervous I could throw up!

What if we forgot something? What if fumbles over his words? What if they dont want him to come? What if something goes wrong? Did we get all the paperwork right? (it goes on and on and on!)

Ok, Hamilton was approved for him and his daughters visa! thats the good news!

However, can anyone address this question for me.

The lady that approved him said that his daughter must come with him and would not be allowed to follow within the year because she falls under the same 90 day status as him.

This is confusing to me because according to the government web site, children that are listed on his visa are allowed to follow within one year!

We had planned on having her come next summer.

Does anyone no any additional information on this???

Hi all,

This is Paul with a quick update - I had to give the Embassy a little 'nudge' about an update as my circumstances and contact details are changing soon. I finish work next week and then move back to the Midlands with my parents until departure. I explained this and today they repled with a date - this coming Monday!!! So it's been a bit of a head spinner and a panic, but I'm slowly coming to terms with it now!! :wacko:

Now it's a case of getting everything ready and sorting out the London transport and accommodation logistics. I'm also a little flustered as in error, I submitted all the docs requested like birth certificate, passport photos, etc. So I've tried to duplicate everything again and now I'm just hoping my birth certificate duplicate turns up in time or I get away with sending everything in at the same time.

Anyhoo, I will let you all know how it goes :thumbs:

Jock and I tied the knot on August 6th and have begun our AOS journey now. We have sent off the paperwork and received our NOA1 emails for the AOS, Work Authorization and Advance Parole Travel Document. I hope to be able to keep you guys posted. September 10, 2010 met for first time in Rome. Love at first site, absolutely.

October, 2010 visited him in England.

December 31, 2010 he came here for Christmas/New Years. Engaged New Year's Eve.
