Thanks Diana! Must've helped cause I got approved :dance: Everyone at the Embassy was SO nice, and some of the Officers were joking around with us, especially the security guards. For the Interview I had a female Consul and she was very nice and sweet too, and smiling the whole time. She asked questions like "where did you meet", "how did you stay in contact afterwards", "has he met your family and vice versa", "has he been to Germany" etc. all very nice and conversational. She went through all of the paperwork (I-129F petition and all the Consulate forms) and half-way through she said "You're trying to kill me with paperwork, aren't you?" :rofl: but smiled and said she understands that we just wanted to be sure we're covered :) Then she said everything looks great and I should have my visa in the mail in two weeks. :thumbs:

POE at JFK in 39 days!!! :dance:

Hope TwoCats has good news as well!!!

It is my understanding that if the sponser meets income requirements no other information needs to be supplied. My parents are cosponsoring and their income meets the sponsorship requirement, so they did not fill in any other spots except for the

So, they filled the first spot on #7

Do you think that is enough to send if they make more than enough?

If they make more than enough and can prove it I wouldn't worry about it. But... it wouldn't hurt to put the savings if they do have them or any other kind of asset.

Congrats to everyone on your NOA2's and Approvals!!!

I got my Packet 3 by email... Does anyone know if I can email back the checklist and DS-230 form (scanned and signed of course) or if I have to do it by fax? I want to schedule my medical and interview for sometime between Sept. 16 and 30 and I'm assuming I have to send those back before I can make the appointments??? I requested this info from the Vancouver Embassy by email but haven't heard back.

It's about time they woke up and sent you that NOA2! Was there any indication at all as to why it took so long to happen? Either way I am thrilled for you to finally be able to make these final last steps and start your new life :star:

Thank-you! And no, none whatsoever! A mystery really. All I can parse from their fairly elliptical communication is that it probably wasn't looked at at all until its approval yesterday, so I don't think the delay was anything to do with background checks, etc.

If I were to give them any credit, they did stick to their procedure quite diligently - after 5 months, they issued a service request; after 6 months, an expedite; and, 2 weeks later, the approval. I've read people on here saying they were told by USCIS to wait 6 months just for the inital service request, so I guess in that context we weren't too hard done by.
