Countdown for interview is now down to 2 weeks... :blink: I'm starting to feel it... the nervousness :huh: but my lovely man is coming in 2 days :luv: After 7 months.. finally. :dance:

Hows your packing coming along?? It's such a dreadful feeling to know you're taking your life in a suitcase... Chris keeps telling me I should just take 1 outfit for every day of the week. He is such a guy :rofl:

So excited for you guys! 7 months since you've seen each other?! Wow! I don't know how you managed!

Here's a question... even though you've been through your interview prep 100 times and know everything is in order.. do you worry about stupid stuff they might pull you up on. For example, london request police checks for countries you have lived in for 12 months OR MORE. I lived in Israel for 2 days short of 12 months. I can prove it with passport stamps but it just niggles at me even though i know i'm right.

I think i've had a permanant headache for the last 7 months! :P

2011 Jan 7th: 'Touched' by VSC

2011 May 13th: NOA2!!!!

2011 May 19th: NVC received

2011 May 23rd: NVC sent file out to London Consulate

2011 May 26th: London Consulate rcvd

2011 June 8th: London Consulate sent out packet 3

2011 June 10th: Medical appointment

2011 June 11th: Received packet 3

2011 June 13th: Sent packet 3 back to Embassy

2011 June 23rd: Packet 3 approved at Embassy and logged on to system - NO RFE!

2011 November 1st: Email and Text notification that AOS and EAD accepted and being sent to benefits centre.

2011 November 7th: Letter from USCIS with biometrics date

2011 November 2?th: Letter from USCIS RFE on affidavit of support (insufficient evidence for proof of income)

2011 November 30th: Biometrics done

2011 December 9th: RFE in review for AOS

2011 December 15th: Notice that AOS has been sent to CSC for faster processing

2011 December 21st: Notice that AOS has reached CSC

2011 December 23rd: Notice that ead card was in production

2011 December 30th: 2nd notification that EAD was in Post Decision Activity and on it's way to me in the mail.

2012 April 5th: AOS approved, Green Card in production!

I'm a little of an... how should I call me... pain?! Yeah. I rather have it than regret it, but don't put yourself in a position of wanting the nearly impossible. If you can get the police checks... get them, but if it's way impossible and they ask for the 12 months and you have a minus 2 days well then hell and make your peace of mind with it and be sure you're ok because you have what "they asked for".

It's one of those things nobody can clearly tell you "For sure they will ask you for them" because it's so close, but it's not exactly 12 months.

FYI: Guatemala asked me for any place I've lived for more than 6 months. Just make sure it's 12. I know every embassy is different but... ya know, heads up. :)

P.S. We managed with a lot of communication. A lot... hours daily. :star:

Well yeah, he's willing to buy new stuff :lol: but like you said, have wedding expenses to take care of.. not to mention the Adjustment of Status, then Removal of Conditions so on and so forth.. never ending application :bonk:

Yeah!!! It's lots and lots of "moneys" haha. I'm trying to be the most conscience about it that I can :blush: , trying to help out paying for most of the visa stuff while Im here. Like he said: "It's already kind of 'our' money..." 'cuz I pay one thing, he pays another then I get short and he pitches in some... :rofl: but yeah... I'm sticking things in my shoes and all to carry as much as I can when I leave :rofl: , and he is also taking somethings of mine with him when he goes back this july 5th. If I could only fit my mamma in a shoe.. that would mean she doesn't weigh much either!! *sigh* :rofl:

We're just waiting on our interview date coming around.

Some people have had success moving it up, but we've already made our plans around our date so...

Just a waiting game.

I ordered my dress, and a kilt/midieval shirt combo for Kata.

We're going to do the midieval/semi-fantasy thing.

Well then, fellow Jan filers - if you discount all the "unclickable" names on the spreadsheet, who don't seem to post anymore, then that makes us, officially, in last place!
