My fiance just had his interview this morning. He had an entire copy of our application packet with him, copies of all the documents they had requested; and a binder and I mean a full binder with our skype logs, pictures, originals, bank statements, tax returns. He gave them all the documents they had requested at the first window and a copy of my affidavit of support. He then patiently waited to meet with the CO she was very sweet (was suprised and happy he had a large organized binder with everything they might ask for) then she asked him how we met, when we saw each other again, how do we keep in touch, looked at pictures from our first meeting in 2001 and our recent meeting in 2010, asked about my employment, asked if our families had met and towards the end said everything seemed in order and gave him a white sheet and said they should be contacting him between 5 to 10 days and if not he should inquire with them.

The form they gave him sounds like it is administrative processing from what he read off but there is no indication of further documents they need from him anywhere on it. I am hoping it is just a formality to have this administrative processing business in middle eastern countries. Crossing my fingers they call him in a day or two and ask him to take his passport in.

Wow, today has been a great day. Moscow consulate emailed me and offered to move up our interview date to July 13 from August 5th. I had asked for a July interview so her children could start school on-time. This is great!!

Really hoping it'll come through before the end of the week - I'm hoping for a July interview.

That's awesome!!! We were almost interview buddies too (we were noa2 buddies ) you have the interview one day before ours!!!

OMG!!! This is a fiasco

My fiances medical is today at 10:50 GMT and cause he doesn't live in London we booked him a night in a hotel in a town outside of London to serve a dual purpose. One so that he can hop a train into London for his morning appointment (bout an hour versus 3 hours from where he lives) and two so he could visit his kids as they live with his ex-wife in this particular town. Not to mention the cost of the hotel there is waaaaaaay cheaper than staying in one in London itself. So good great he got to see his family yesterday and got up early today to get on his way to London and what happens? The trains are all CANCELLED!! Some sort of "signal problem" on the lines causing 90 min delays etc. So now we are in a panic and have had to hire a taxi to drive him there. I cant even begin to tell you how much money the cab is costing cause it gives me heart pains just thinking about it.

Either way its a nightmare and a drain on our funds yet again. As long as he makes it it will be worth it all but lesson learned... interview night he is staying IN London.

Well an update, he made it 10 mins late but there none the less. PHEW! Everything was good they said. He needs to get a second MMR shot in 4 weeks or there after either here or there. That's doable. Either he can get it there in UK or here at a cvs, walgreens, walmart type pharmacy clinic for around $100 (yet more expense ah well)

So the good news is he made it and the bad news is I've been up since 1:30am and am now at work. Hahaha I think I am gonna start hallucinating today at some point

I'm sorry to hear about all of today's inconveniences, but i'm glad everything went well at the medical. At the end money is replaceable. I hope the rest goes on smoothly for you guys!

Soooooo.. just an update.

Nvc logged my packet on MAY 31ST, and so i booked my medical for the day i get back from dallas - june 30th. I could have had it on the 15th just for those still waiting and wonderings information.

They sent it out to London on June 1st and it was logged at london on June 6th, and then i got my packet 3 on June 11th!!!!!

So all really fast!!!

I am in dallas until the 30th, and although i have all the forms with me and could mail them from here to London, i intend to wait until i am home as Ashley and I are in no real rush for me to move over here.

We have already set a provisional date of OCT 1st to move, which allows me time with friends and family, plus time to tie up any loose ends ect.

Getting packet-3 checked in seems to be what is taking the longest time right now (vs. the medical) in the UK. So even if you aren't in a rush, you might want to send it in early. We sent ours in almost two weeks ago and still no sign of it getting checked in. I think someone mentioned 'up to four weeks' wait in the UK forum. So... Edited June 15, 2011 by TwoCats

Question:

We got our NOA2 on June 1st and I've read that it takes about 2 weeks for it to reach the NVC, do I need to call the NVC to make sure it's been deliever and etc.

I've already have the I-134 filled and signed as well as getting my supporting documents ready and etc.

So basically just trying to figure out the next step, instead of waiting like we've been doing when we were waiting for our NOA2.

Our application left NVC on June 9th, and our post office has officially gone one strike nation wide. So i've emailed the K Visa Department asking if they will email me packet 3 once they receive my application in Vancouver.

So 30 minutes after sending my email requesting packet 3 be emailed, they sent it to me. I've already faxed the forms back to them and requested packet 4 be emailed too. How long does it usually take for the interview letter after sending packet 3 back? I booked my medical for July 20th as well so i'm really hoping i can get my interview for the day after. eeeek!
