A wrong fee is something that is noticed at the Texas lock box intake. That is one of the criteria for rejection. They look at the check and the I-129F. Texas does not review the rest of your petition, therefor would not review your G-325A. That is something USCIS would send an RFE for, not rejection. They may accept scanned signature, and for your sake, I hope they do :) On the other hand, I've read numerous people getting RFE'd for scanned signatures. It really all depends, I guess. I would just use caution in depending on an outdated memo.

Like I said: The Texas Service Center has been rejecting whole packages for adresses in part "B" of the I-129F (There is an example in this thread). So I would think they are reviewing the rest of the files as well. And to each their criteria about sending it or not. I didnt, and I wont get paranoid about getting an RFE (ya know, for my own peace of mind xD)

Cheers Coconut.

Diana.

But another January filer got her package back before receiving an E-notification, no check was cashed, no NOA1 and it was sent back due to something missing on the form I-129F Part B, Address. So I figured it hadn't even been sent to a service center yet...

I think I will just print out a new G-325A, sign it and send it out this week via express mail to my fiance. So IF we get our petition back next week or the week after at the latest, he'll already have it and can refile right away.

Thank you everyone for your help!

You're sweet :) I don't know what I'd do without this forum, it's my lifeline these day, haha. I do hope we get a NOA1 soon but if not, that at least we'll get the packet back next week...I want to remain a January filer. I got comfortable in this thread

One thing that I noticed though is that my fiance's printing paper is a tad, but noticeably, larger than the regular printing paper we have here in Germany. Do you think it will be a problem if all pages of the petition are one size but my G-325A is a bit smaller? :hehe: I'm paranoid now..

Good on you for not getting paranoid! There's no reason to. RFEs aren't the end of the world, and are usually a very simple fix and don't delay the process much at all. I hope everyone has a smooth journey. :) I spent half my time waiting going over every little detail in my mind and eventually just had to give up and say whatever happens, happens because I was driving myself crazy.

No worries :P Maybe I'll go to a copy shop with one of the pages from my petition copy, and ask if they have that paper size or I'll buy large paper and cut them down to U.S. size. Geesh! Don't wanna risk anything so I guess again that's my safest bet!

Added JustJanis to the filers list.

Updated my NOA1 to the correct date.

Shortened the instructions together into a paragraph and added a note about NOA1s since I was incorrect earlier.

Does anyone know... If they cashed the cheque, provided a Receipt Number and said they are sending the Receipt Notice (Form I-797), does that mean they will not be rejecting the forms but may be sending a request for more informtion if needed or do they still have to look over the forms and then if there is an error on them will send the whole thing back?

So I don't keep bugging everyone, is there a step by step that answers questions like that? Thx.

It means they accepted and are processing your packet.

So you should be fine for now.

You might still get an RFE at some point, but your packet wasn't rejected.

Since you're at Vermont, you should be able to access your case status online and see your NOA1 date.

Others have been able to.

Thank you. After reading about all the other stuff people included with their applications I feel a bit better about just sending the basics... don't mind getting an RFE, I've got mostly everything ready for when it comes.

Just realized my NOA1 first date was Jan. 10th when we got the notice... now I wait for the receipt to be delivered to his home state side, then forwarded to me in Canada and then depending on what is in it scan it for him in Japan or bring it with me when I see him in February... this whole thing has really made me use what patience I have but he's sooo worth it. :luv:
