Yay, just had my interview, everything went very smooth (apart from the long wait for the family of 7 in front of me that didn't have their paper work in order, didn't know they had to pay $5000, and in general just needed a lot of time), and I was told that I'd have my visa in the mail in about a week! :)

The only questions they asked me where "where did you two meet? when did you meet? what work does she/you do?", and he commented a bit on the age difference (11 years), but didn't really question it or anything.

Congrats on getting an interview date! Can't wait till we get ours. Hopefully it will fall in July. Do you guys have a wedding date set or did you put one on your DS-2001 cover letter if I may ask?

We don't actually have a date set.

However, I believe Kata put a date in the end of July on the DS-2001.

I don't know that it had any real effect.

Hey congrats! We're interview buddies, mine is on July 21 too

Hopefully we'll both have good news on the same day.

Congratulations! That must make you so happy.... its so close!

I sent of my packet 3 this week and they should have received my medical results at the same time as the packet.

How long did it take you to get an interview date?

We sent in Packet 3 on 06/01, and it was logged in 06/15. (About two weeks).

The medical was 06/07 and logged in 06/10 (about three days).

We got an interview date by calling DOS on 06/17.

For those of you who have sent off packet 3.... do we need to call up and pay that interview fee before they issue you with an interview date or can it be done after?

Thanks =) :D

You can pay after you get the interview date.

We haven't paid yet, because Kata hasn't gotten his paycheck for the month yet.

Cheers, thanks for the great info TwoCats. Thank god for the DOS phone line and this VJ website cause we never actually got our packet 3 in the mail  but then again his post is horrible around where he is. So many important things have never reached him sadly. Worries me a bit for his interview letter when the time comes but I also heard he can print off an interview email? I hope so at least, anyone know this for sure??

Have any Jan filers still waiting on their NOA2 contacted their member of congress?

I'm wondering if that's our best recourse. VSC appear to be working on late-Feb filers now, and it's been a full week and a half since they issued our service request.

Hey guys,

I had some extra time today so I've started finishing up the rest of the paperwork. The interview paperwork was easy but now I'm taking a look at the AOS stuff.

I'm guessing that the A# on my NOA2 will match the one I get on the I94 but I'm holding off for that reason, just to make sure. I see that we do not need to do the I-693 because we received a DS-3025. My question is what does this look like? I received a sheet of paper, a cd and a sealed white envelope from my medical. The sheet of paper shows all my vaccinations and marks which ones were age inappropriate. I am guessing this is it, which is probably in that sealed envelope. I am a little upset though because it says mine is incomplete but I could get a blanket waiver for my Influenza vaccine. It states that because it isn't Fall, it isn't needed; however, when we AOS, it will be Fall. The part that bugs me is I do have my Influenza shot and it was noted in my records (got it a month before interview). So my question is that DS3025 and that means we don't need to do the I-693?

Steve
