I'm with ya.....2 weeks today and I visit Matt in Houston!!

That's great  Angelo is coming here in 37 days, I just love those countdowns when they get smaller and smaller :P

And, TwoCats, I still can't see our case status online either  Like you, we'll be waiting 30 days until Feb. 18 and then call VSC! I just hope it'll magically work until then but I must say I doubt it. *sigh*

So, how about a topic to pass the time?

We're coming up on Valentine's day in a little over a week.

Anyone have any plans for v-day? If yes, share!

If not, how have you spent previous Valentine's?

I'll even be nice and start. :innocent:

Kata's birthday is actually on Valentine's Day. I call it his 'Birthentine's Day' because I'm silly like that.

He's turning the big 2-5 this year, so I've taken to nicknaming him 'old man' (even though I turn 30 later this year, meep!). It's also because he fell asleep after Christmas dinner, and him and my father were both snoring in the living room while the rest of us were terribly amused.

Anyways, he's going up to Scotland to spend his birthday with his family, since I stole him for Christmas and New Years. They're combo-ing together all the holidays so he'll be doing Val-Christ-Birth-Year-ntines. He's promised me some Skype-time, though.

If I have time this week, I might try to work up an art piece for him (Did you know I did art? Cruddy cartoon art of cute fluffy animals, but still art. And no, I didn't do my sig picture or my icon.) Not sure if I'll have time, though.

Aww. How I wish I could spend valentines with my baby. :( But, since I can't, I'm editing a video on iMovie with the song we are dancing for our first dance. It has pictures of us, quotes and some other things I want to add. I also want to see if I have time to send him a hand made card, let's hope!!

Birthentine's Day made my smile  That's cute!

We have never spent Valentine's Day together before, but I will send him a card, chocolate and a small present tomorrow: http://www.justducks.co.uk/Images/Lanco/L_Bride%20and%20Groom2.JPG :P I'm gonna send him the groom, I have the bride. Wanna talk about being silly now? I just thought it was cute. I won't actually take them into the bathtub with me ^_^

Since Angelo is coming exactly a month later on March 14, we might do something then, a post-Valentine's celebration :P

And Diana, that it such a beautiful and thoughtful idea  I bet he will love it!

I'm with you, guys :( I keep checking it every day, but nothing changes...

I'm so glad for those, who're going to see their fiance(e)s some time soon! Hope you all have a great time together! :)

As for Valentine's we've spent it together only one time - it was two years ago. It was in Moscow, we had dinner in a restaurant right next to the Red Square and he got for me lots and lots of tulips... ahhh.... it was so long ago...

this year since i can't cook dinner for him, i'm going to get something from an online Russian food store... maybe some caviar (i know a lot of American people, who can't imagine how it's possible to eat 'fish eggs', but my hubby-to be loves it) :) and i was thinking about making a video also, but i'm not sure.

Excellent, excellent idea.

Went with my fiancee about a month after we started dating, such an incredible experience. Do watch out for the trams, though. Everyone mentions the bikes, but you'll find that out for yourself - the trams you won't notice until one's shuttling past you about an inch from the curb.

What are you guys planning on doing? Scenery, culture, recreational ingestion of hallucinogenic fungi? All of the above?

It is too bad a few of you won't be able to see eachother for V-day. I believe we are keeping ours very low key, more planning for the wedding and dinner.

Is anyone working on paperwork to pass the time between NoA1 and NoA2? I have been thinking about getting my policecheck because it lasts a year and may go do my medical but unsure if I should wait on that one. I am thinking I may order a long form birth certificate but unsure if I'll actually need it.

We've just started looking at places, will be our first place for both of us. Been deciding between Seattle and Spokane since she got accepted to both law schools. Seattle is definately more expensive but I'll probably have an easier time getting a job with my comp sci degree. Should be an interesting few months as we weigh the benefits of both.

Hello everyone =)

We just joined VJ, and we are January petitioners as well.. Sent Jan 12, NOA1 Jan 13. =)

We originally sent in Nov 25, but it was sent back because of incorrect fee (*sigh*, we lost more than a month because of that)..

Anyway, I wish everyone luck, especially VSC and CSC luck too, in processing our petitions =)

By the way, not to be out of topic or anything, but have you guys noticed that nobody got NOA2 last Friday, 02/04? Or is it just because nobody who got their NOA2 in 02/04 updated their status (which is highly unlikely beause I'm sure they'll be too excited and update their status in SECONDS) Hmmm... just wondering out loud, or if you have any ideas ...

I'm moving to Maryland and i was worried about more humid and hot summers too, but actually last summer was a lot hotter in Russia... And the winters seem to become colder there, so now i think that it's not going to be a big change.
