Well it seems us IMBRA folk are at the tail end of this ordeal and it also seems the trend is the final interview is a week to two weeks away from when the consulate actually recieves the re-approved petition. SO I have som quick thinking to do.

I am out of the philippines, so if this needs to be moved, ok. But this is for K1 visa.

After all this though, I have forgotted what the final fee's will be for the medical exam and the interview itself.

Was it $155 for the whole thing?

Any other fee's I need to know about outside of the airport exit (ransom) fee?

thanks

Z - Visa Application Fee is $100 in every country.

Each applicant for a U.S. nonimmigrant visa, except diplomatic (A), official (G), certain U.S. Government sponsored exchange visitors (J), and certain NAFTA treaty nationals (TN) and treaty dependents (TD), must pay the machine-readable visa application fee equal to $100 U.S. dollars.

This fee can only be paid at any designated branch of Citibank or Bank of the Philippine Islands and must be paid in Philippine currency at the American government exchange rate prevailing on the day of payment. The bank will provide a receipt and Form DS-157 where payment is machine-validated.

Maybe someone who has been through it there can give you the cost for the medical and vaccinations.

I don't think there is an airport tax - usually those are included in the cost of your ticket.

As I understand it, the packet from the embassy will tell her all she needs to know about where to get her medical exam done (and perhaps even the fee.)

It should also explain the fee for the visa.

I know about the Philippine airport exit ransom because I had to send emergency money to J last year when she left PI to go to the United Arab Emirates! And I believe that is over and above the cost of the airline tickets, not included in them. She should be able to find out pretty easily what that particular fee will be with a phone call to the airline.

Good luck on the downhill side of your journey and congratulations!!

Hi Z,

The travel tax for Phils is P1,620. You can pay this with the ticket purchase. Then at port of exit which is at the Manila airport, after check in of luggage, you go through immigration and pay P550.

By the way, there is the CFO seminar where you pay P250 for the conselling fee and P400 for the CFO sticker/stamp which is a pre-requisite for the visa approval.

After the interview, if visa is approved, you have to pay for the passport delivery fee by Delbros and this depends on the destination/address of delivery.

Hope I was of some help.

Thanks for the info guys.

I will just have to estimate what the medical will be then. Do you suppose that it would be any more than $100 extra for the exam and vaccinations?

P.S.

no more typing for me after 11pm. wow that was some bad spellering.
