There won't be many of them around anyway....they'll all be sitting at the shop waiting to be fixed so they'll run again. LOL

They have a 3-year warranty - and I probably won't keep it for more than 3 years anyway.

Oh, you're probably ok then. You shouldn't be without your car for more than a week or so due to non-maintenance repairs during that time.

Cian, are you serious?

GM cars are not that bad in my experience, especially if they are brand new.

A friend of mine has had a Pontiac for 8 years now - no problems whatsoever.

Now seriously, I need to decide before Labor Day. :P

I would love to have another 1976 Camaro, like the one I had many years ago. Long story as to why I no longer have it, but someday I hope to have another one.

I do like the BMW Roadster though...really sporty. Covertible of course. :star:

'04 BMW M3 Convertible is my favorite car. Probably cause it sits in my garage :D 333 horsepower out of a six. The power to weight is incredible. With an SMG trans (F1 trans) that puts your head into the headrest. Why buy American ?

16/10/2006- Interview date- I'm nervous and my fiance is cool calm and collective. And she's the one that has to do the interview.

I don't understand the "American Car" thing either. The big three stopped building "American Cars" in the 80s.

I had mustangs growing up but now that I've got a good paying job I'll never go back to American sports cars.

American Sports Cars= People with low budgets

Sorry to be so crude.

Ever look at a New Cars sticker? Where did the parts come from ? Some American cars have foreign built engines.

Now that's just your snobbism talking.

I can buy a German car but will not do so on general principle.

German cars are overrated. There was a time when German engineers were ahead of the crowd but not anymore.

They command high dollar for reasons of quality. And I happen to have grown up in the ghettos and worked my way out of them and I'm not a snob. Just know when something is a good thing.

In the ghettos, a BMW is a symbol of status more than it is a car (i.e. a box on wheels to take

you from A to B.) They command high dollar prices for their quality, sure, as well as historical

reasons and also precisely because of their reputation as a symbol of status.

A Pontiac GTO is just as good as a 6-series BMW in terms of performance and handling,

for one third of the price. Maybe that's what you meant by "low budget", but just

because something costs more doesn't make it better. But even if I admit that the 6-series

BMW is marginally better than the GTO, is it worth the extra $50,000?

No, in my opinion they aren't worth that much of a premium. BMW is one of the German makes I don't like, actually. Same reason that I detest GM....reliability.

I would rather have an old VW Rabbit diesel or a 1985 Audi Quattro (I miss mine!) than a new GTO. And I'm being perfectly honest about that.

I appreciate your honesty, but are you being objective? In other words, are you sure you're

not letting your hate of GM overshadow your perspective on the issue of GTO vs Mustang?
