Approval for stepchild

Has anyone had this problem before? My wife was recently granted approval for her petition but the stepchild is still in the intial review process. Both I-130's were sent together and mother has sole custody, no father on birth certificate. Shouldnt they have been approved at the same time? Any suggestions on what I need to do next?

Thanks,

Tony

simultaneous approval is ideal but your case is normal. although your stepchild is related to the primary beneficiary, their supoprting docs are different in some ways that they have to be examined differently as well, resulting in different approval dates.

just wait and hope that even though the stepchild's takes a little longer, you don;t get any RFEs.

good luck and god bless. :)

Well hopefully everything is gone be like smooth but remenber there is a lot of factor for wish USCIS will review

The i130 for your stepchild because they want to make sure your that the child is real relative of your wife.

This is because the child has just one parent..

I know maybe ia sounds like" come on"

But on i130 for your atepchild..

Did you provide all the supporting documents to confirm the relationahip between your wife and the child like picture or something? Remember this is what I think because there is a lot fraud outthere as you know..

BUT AGAIN THIS IS WHAT I THINK... I MAYBE WRONG HOPEFULY.. GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY MY FRIEND!!!
