So we applied for AOS with Work Authorization back in November 2010, we got the letter for Biometrics which was done Back in Mid December...Whats next? when should i expect to hear from USCIS?

Also my wife is currently on Fiance Visa Expires in August 2011, shes planning on going back to Pakistan to visit for a month. Is this fine to do while AOS is still in process?

Thanks,

She should have applied for AP as well along with AOS if she needed to leave. Do not allow her to leave without either AP or a greencard, she will not be allowed back in.

Their profile and timeline shows K-3 visa, if this is the case, then No AP needed to travel, K-3 is exempt from filing an I-131.

However YES K-1 requires AP Doc in hand before traveling.

A K-3 is NOT a fiancee visa, it is a Spouse K-3 visa.

Her fiance visa is one-time use. She used it so it is gone. She cannot leave the country until she has either her temporary travel permission, called Advance Parole (AP filed with the I-131 form) or her Greencard in hand. Otherwise she cannot reenter the country and you will have to start over with a spousal visa.

Now, you just wait. You will either get approved in a few months without an interview, or you will be scheduled for an interview.

You can join the progress subforum for November filers here and compare your timelines.

Edit: The OP specifically said fiance visa in the OP.

I'm confused...your profile says your wife is on K3 visa, but you said in your post here that she is on K1 visa...

If she is on K3, she can go to Pakistan and re-enter the US without a problem (she just has to show proof of her ongoing I-485)...but if she is on K1 visa, she needs an approved Advance Parole (AP, or I-131) before she goes to Pakistan.

Yes, this is fine, and in the future refrain from calling a K-3 a fiancee visa, it is NOT.

On the Visa its says " Visa "R" Type/Class "K3"

Then your wife is on a K3 visa (temporary visa for spouses of US citizens). It's a multiple entry visa, which allows your wife to re-enter the US even if her Adjustment of Status is ongoing. She still needs to bring proof that she has a pending green card application, just in case she is stopped at the POE.

K1 visa is a fiancee visa...completely different from K3.

On the Visa its says " Visa "R" Type/Class "K3"
