This is a very strange question I know

But I am wondering about Biometrics for AOS- do they take full prints or what?

My fiance burned his fingers pretty badly a while ago and now he is working in a restaurant and it's just getting worse as in he has no fingerprints. He burned his right thumb, pointy, and middle fingers so I want to know if this is a problem or do you think they won't care if he gives prints with just his other fingers? Sorry I am not a fingerprint expert and am probably worried for no reason. OR AM I!!!???

Mmmmk thanks for any help!!!

Kisses,

Sarah

That will probably be a problem... The security guard at the door of my bio office actually looked at my hands before I entered the office.

I believe he will still need to go and they will attempt to do them, they will most likely be rejected and your hubby will have to submit some sort of police report. Perhaps try googling for USCIS fingerprint rejection to find out some more info for your situation.

Biometric for AOS need full prints. they will check your hands before they do the fingerprints so I am sure if he have cut or burned they will going to re-schedule him for another appointment.

My wife had a small cut on one finger that had only had a chance to heal for about 10 days before her bio appointment, she ended up getting a re-schedule. In our case I would estimate it set her back two to three months.

Thank you everyone! We're gonna have to put Neosporin to work and make sure his fingers can heal then.

I'm glad I asked this because I figured it wouldn't be too much of a problem... thank you so much!

ps. I'll get my signature under control.

I do fingerprints on about 500 people a day. Burns for some reason are not that big of an issue. Being over 45 is a lot more of one! If you really can't see the fingerprints though, they might not work at all. If they're permanent burns, and nobody can get the fingerprints at all, tell them that and maybe you can do the background check (that's what we do).

I really can't say much about this as it applies to AOS though because I haven't done it yet.

When I went for my biometrics appointment on July 29th for my AOS I was asked by 4 people before having my fingerprints done to see my fingers. I finally asked why I was being asked over and over again to see my fingers and was told that if I had any cuts or anything on my fingers that the biometrics would not be done.
