Rosie is an uninformed loudmouth windbag.

Liefde is een bloem zo teer dat hij knakt bij de minste aanraking en zo sterk dat niets zijn groei in de weg staat

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Makes one wonder how these Canadians - and the citizens of every other developed country - lead longer, healthier lives than the population of the country with the supposedly best health care system in the world, doesn't it? Well, not really.

The woman has to wait a decade for surgery and this is your first thought.

WOW!

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

You can choose to focus (like Big Dog does) on the overall metrics of the Canadian system, or you can choose to focus on individual anecdotes.

And here I thought you were prochoice.

What are her choices?

And if she can't afford it, then too bad - the free market has spoken and it says you need to die already.

Exactly. Same as in the US only that Canada provides necessary care to all of it's citizens and residents at a fraction of the cost per capita versus what the US population shells out to cover necessary care for most but not even close to all citizens and residents.

That must by why Danno posted this. They have so much in common.

I just love how the conservatives zero in on the outliers who are dissatisfied with canadian healthcare. Yes, you do wait longer for non-essential medical procedures. I think that someone trying to get elective surgery, that is paid for by the citizens, should be curtailed.

:crying:

The US health care system does this each and every day. To the tune of 45,000 lives lost prematurely every year. Haven't seen you cry about that yet. And you should because the US system costs you dearly while leaving plenty of your fellow countrymen and women for dead left, right and center.
