Original Final Divorce Document Required?

Hi,

My fiancee has her interview on Jan 21 and I sent her a copy of my final divorce papers from my first marriage and she is concerned that we might need the originals. Can someone please clear this up for us? There is still time to send her the original. Thanks in advance!

Original and a copy is required at the interview, they look at the original and keep the copy.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

What do you mean by original? The only original should be in the records department. What you need is a certified copy of the original that is filed in the records department.

03-21-2010 - I proposed to her in the Philippines.
09-07-2010 - I-129F filed for K-1 Visa.
09-12-2010 - NOA1 confirmation email received.
11-02-2010 - I visitied the Philippines again.

02-07-2011 - NOA2 email recieved. Approved.
03-22-2011 - Case at USEM.

04-15-2011 - Interview Date. She passed.
05-01-2011 - POE

06-25-2011 - We were married.

-Life has been great ever since.

What do you mean by original? The only original should be in the records department. What you need is a certified copy of the original that is filed in the records department.

09/12/2011 - EAD received!

09/21/2011 - AOS Interview-APROVED ON THE SPOT/email notice: GC productionn ordered, approval notice sent

09/26/2011 - AOS Approval Notice/Welcome Notice received!

09/30/2011 - Got my GC in the mail today!
