Be cautious when attributing things like this to religion. There have been recent genocidal wars in Africa where Christianity has been the professed religion of the aggressors! I think this sort of thing has more to do with cultural attitudes than with religion itself. Religion is twisted by its adherents and detractors into ridiculous contortions. very recently, someone on this very forum posted an article which mentioned several muslims putting their lives in very real danger by trying to help this woman, speaking out against what's being done to her, and actively trying to get her pardoned. when it comes to putting their money where their mouths are, these pakistani muslims are a whole lot braver than the internet commandos posting shite in this thread. but the "muslimness" of the wretched pos bastards that want to hurt this woman are somehow, magically, much more muslim-ey than the muslimness of the people putting their lives and personal safety on the line to seek justice and freedom for her. why is that?? what is it exactly that cancels out their muslim-ness?

NOONE said the few Muslims risking life and limb to condemn and defend this woman were any less Muslim than the majority Pakistani Muslims who support both the ludicrous law and its application in this instance.
