Greetings and Happy New Year to everyone,

It's been a great journey for my wife and I, but we're about to file a I-751 form this coming summer. So I want to get things together before hand; I have a question about this form. It says I need a lease with me and my wife's name on it. We do not have this because my brother in law is also an immigrant and he's living together with us with his wife and child and they are filing 1 month prior to us. My sister asked that her and her husband be put on the lease. So therefore we do not have this to show. Is there any other way get evidence for this, like having the landlord sign and notarize that my wife and I are living there? Any help would be appreciated.

Wish everyone the best of luck with their journey to be reunited with their love ones. av-61161.gif

A lease is just one thing to show living together, it is not a requirement.

In our case we do not have a lease or mortgage. I enclosed credit card statements, bank statements, college bills, joint returns, copies of driver's licenses, etc.. showing living at same address

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

add her name to the utility bills if it's not already added, and if she live there then i am sure that she must get her mails at that address so you can use those as well. don't worry about the lease. also you can get your neighbors to sign affidavits stating that you two are living together, just to give you some ideas about things that you can do. good luck :)
