Don't depend on a general list of what you need to file with London. Each embassy has their own requirements. Check the embassy web page for their specific requirements.

Thanks Guys all alot of help, ive heard London doesnt ask u for proof usually but to take it anyway just in case. Also, i was under the impression that NVC do update u on thier automated line? Or so it seems as it accepts my EAC number just says we have not receieved it yet!!

You've been given some good links, so take the time to read them. NVC just assigns a case number and passes the K1 off to the consulate in about 3 days total. They don't put K1s in their automated system. The IR1/CR1 visa people who actually send their forms and payments to NVC will be in the system. Speak to a person. Call late at night.

If you had read Dodies link, it says this (in red even)

For the NVC:

K1's are not tracked through the AVR, EVER. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator. To get there:

1-603-334-0700

Press 2 for Non-Haiti-Related issue (Please note that this will probably change after some time)

Press 1 for English

Press 5 for an operator

About the evidence. It was just a tip to point out that London is not Manila. People always say they will take it "just in case". Well I've actually been to the interview in London and read hundreds of reports from interviews for just shy of 3 years now. Nobody has EVER been ask to show evidence of their relationship. Keep it simple.

Work on getting your immunizations done at NHS now. That will help you at AOS time and save you money too.

Ok thanks, I wasnt aware that K1 didnt go through, i assumed all would but I will check again soon. I have all my vaccs up to date ( went and got them done a while back -a little keen and hopeful I guess), got full BC and police certificate. Just need to get some american sized passport pics done and start filling in forms to get ready to send to interview.

If you can't get through to NVC, call the Department of State (NVC is a part of the Department of State); they will have the same info that NVC has and they are a whole lot easier to get through to. Call 202 663-1225. When the message starts select 1 and then 0. This will direct you to a Visa Specialist. Ask them if your petition has been received by NVC yet and could they give you your case number. They will ask you for you EAC# and some identifying information and then they will be able to tell you what they have in the system.

Hoping someone might be able to clear this up for me as i have seen much conflicting things/ ways.

Do the London embassy - ive looked in the regional posts - but need very recent - do they scheudle the interview before they have the medical results? I know that u need the medical results before attending interview ( they must have them) but will they still schedule u in for an interview date? The reason why I ask is the waiting time for interview is about 6 weeks i think if not longer and didnt want have to go do medical before I can even send my forms in and be scheduled - i.e it would make much more sense to get the interview date and then whilst waiting, do the medical??? Am I right or do they not do this?

You are still in the States, yes? By the time you get back, and get a medical scheduled, London will have started your file. I wouldn't hold off on getting it sorted if i were you.

I am not positive about whether or not they will scedule the interview, before they have your medical results. I think i read somewhere that they need the results five working days before the interview, but don't hold me to that.

They've recently changed it and won't schedule your interview until they get your medical results, but I like your way much better, it makes more sense. You can find this information at the bottom of this page. http://london.usembassy.gov/immigrant-visas/medical-examination.html
