Hi fellow VJ'ers,

I am a green card holder and would soon be petitioning for my wife. I have a few questions with regards to the I-130 form. I hope someone can give me clear answers.

1. As per her passport, my wife does not have a family name. she only has given (first) name. What should i enter under Family name in question 1 of part C?

2. I was on H1B and got my status adjusted to a green card. Under question 14 of part B, what should I enter? Is it the Resident Since date on the green card or what?

3. One of the instructions on the I-130 form is to send a G-325A form for myself and the spouse. It says except name and signature dont repeat the information already given on I-130. Is there a harm in filling up the entire form with all the information? what needs to be done here?

1) What country? What was her father's family name? If none, then "none"

2) Yes resident since green-card approval date.

3) Yes do not leave any lines blank on the G-325A, Use "None" when there is None, and N/A when a question does not apply.
