My NOA1 arrived 3 weeks ago, and I'm wondering if it's too early to collect supporting documents for the I-134?

Specifically, is it too early to get an employer's letter and a bank letter? The guide says to hurry for these when NOA2 arrives, so I was wondering if I shouldn't consider getting them now.

1) Should the employer and bank letters be dated as close to the NOA2 date as possible, or is it OK to get them now although I may be looking at 5 months from today before NOA2 arrives.

2) If I have W2's and IRS tax transcripts for the past 3 years that are way above the 125% poverty line, do I still need an employer's letter and bank letter? By the time P3 arrives, I should have my 2010 tax return filed and perhaps 5 pay-stubs for 2011. I assume they'll take copies of W2's and pay-stubs instead of the originals.

Thank you

ROC

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

In the case of K-1 from China, interviews tend to be 2 months or so after getting the first notice (packet 3) from the consulate, so you have that long to prepare the I-134 and send it to fiancee for the interview.

So yes NOA1 is way too early to prepare this, I would prepare it after NVC sends you a letter stating that the sent the case to Guangzhou.

Also I would join and study all you can on: http://candleforlove.com (That site specializes on immigrations through the Guangzhou consulate.)

If well above poverty line then NO bank letters needed.

In my case the I-134 included, 3 past years IRS returns, past 6 months pay stubs, and an employer letter. (Returns show past income, stubs show current income, employer letter shows future income..)

Moving to consulate embassy forum...

Hey - Welcome to China !

There's a whole different set of time ticks to worry about, for a K-1 visa headed to Guangzhou , when compared to the rest of the world.

IF I WERE IN YER SHOES, knowing what I know,

I'd wait

until the DOS Hotline has confirmed with you (because you called them and asked them)

that

she has an interview date.

Otherwise? all other stuff is a waste of time - is no rush to get this I-134 documents prepped today, this month, or even this quarter.

Sure - is good exercise - you can practice with the forms, determine if you require a co-sponser / joint-sponser or not - but

for now? No. Relax. do nothing until you have verbal confirmation from the Human at the Dos Hotline that an interview has been scheduled.

Whilst yer waiting - have a read? http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/264972-shortcuts-when-checking-for-updates-from-the-nvc-and-dos/ my friend Dodi and I put together a small how-to on 'how to call' and 'what you can get' with the various time ticks.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
