Hello Visa journey members,

I would like to confirm if after interview and was asked for additional document such as evidence of current sustained income and was given a deadline of one year to pass , WHAT will happen to the 1-797 notice of action that has been expired already? will it be revalidated automatically or I is there a document needed to pass to validate the expired I-797 notice of action?

Is it really true that medical exam done in SLMEC valid only for 6 months or 3 months?

Now i am bothered again.. This visa is really a struggle in my part..For you guys who has been approved you are so blessed really and im happy for you..I hope soon our time to be approved will also happen.TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

They'll usually extend the validity of the petition approval automatically. However, if they're waiting for a response from the beneficiary or petitioner then they are allowed to presume the application has been abandoned of the petition approval expires. You can avoid this by simply sending them an email or letter stating that you still intend to complete the visa application process, and requesting that they extend the validity of the petition approval. As long as they know you haven't forgotten about it then they'll extend it. They don't have any statutory authority to extend it beyond one year, though. If you can't get the requested documents submitted before one year then your petition will be returned to USCIS.

I suggest you post your question about St. Lukes in the Philippines regional forum.
