What gives?

One day it's there, the next it's gone, just like that.

No notice, no warning, no "this thread is locked" message, no indication of any reason it should vanish after many months of existence. Plenty of other game threads exist in OT, but the one game some of us actually like to play is marked for execution and unceremoniously given a blindfold and put before the firing squad.

Why am I not surprised.

Go ahead, coddle and indulge the bigotry and racist garbage that goes on here every single day, but heaven forbid we put a kangaroo or a platypus IEA. No, that we cannot tolerate on this pristine forum. Blech.

It appears that it was closed and removed due to a TOS violation. The moderator removed it however had left a post stating why. The topic was apparently used to mock a former member and as such was closed and hidden (had the topic been side tracked only offending posts would have been removed). The mod had the last post explaining, which unfortunately was hidden with the topic, stating "Game removed - we would not allow this topic to exist if it referred to a member on VJ still so we should not be using it to ridicule a former VJ member. I am sorry that I did not see this earlier but it has now been pointed out to me and is absolutely correct. This game is over and will not be allowed to be restarted. It is actually a TOS violation through and through."

I would be happy to review this if you or any member disagrees with the moderation assessment. Please PM or use the contact form (preferred) and let me know why. A quick read does show that the topic used to mock a few VJ members and other folks at various times.

In the future I will ask the mods to post a topic stating the topic was removed if it is hidden due to a TOS violation to let people know.
