Did your parent filed I-130 to you before april 2001? If yes you are eligible to file I-485 along with 245i.I strongly advice to seek a reputable immigration lawyer.

No where did the OP state that his father filed for him before 2001. Don't bring things that are irrelevant to the discussion, it only creates confusion.

By the way - the OP needs to understand the difference between a mother-in-law and a step-mother.

A mother-in-law is the mother of your spouse.

A step-mother is the person that is marry to your father.

Thanks Jojo. It's my step mom that is a citizen. It's what I wrote in my original post. I have no idea where I got MIL from :(
