Alright so I know you are all going to say relax, but really that is the last thing I can do today.

So we sent in my hubby's AOS packet (from a K1) last week. We sent it Overnight UPS on the 28 and it was received on the 29. But it says it was signed for by reception *sigh*

And yet, we still haven't received any email/text notice saying they have gotten it. Yes I know there was this holiday thing and all, but still the check hasn't made it to the bank.....

Just wondering how long to wait before I try calling them to see what happened?

Thanks for letting me vent!

I have been reading around here for almost a year and you guys have been crazy helpful, finally figured I should start posting my own questions.... and I have finally have enough knowledge to start answering other people's questions *:)

Well typically you can go to the NVC website and see the status of your AOS payment, it will say pending or if the check has been cashed its that specific. Most of that info was in the packet they sent you regarding your AOS. I didnt send mine Fed Ex or anything just regular snail mail. And actually I was stationed in the middle east at the time and it still only took them 2 weeks. I would give it another week, and Ill bet you see something.

It took 5 days from the day ours was received for ours to be processed in. With several days off for the holidays, as well as being on a skeleton crew from people taking holiday vacation, it could be a few more days.

Have a little more patience and just keep watching your bank. Your check will be cashed soon.

Happy New Year and Good Luck!

Again, it took a week for them to cash my check from USPS confirming delivery - with the interesting signatory of "L BOX"

They then sent me six text messages and emails saying the same thing.

We have all probably lost a week for the Winter Holidays.

I think you're confusing "Adjustment Of Status" with "Affidavit Of Support". Both are referred to as AOS on this site. An affidavit of support fee is paid to NVC in response to a fee bill sent to the petitioner. An adjustment of status petition is sent to USCIS, and there is no package sent to the applicant before sending the petition. An adjustment of status petition is an application for a green card.
