It's been 2 weeks since my mom's case was approved and I contacted the senator's office because she told me that she will follow up at NVC in 2 weeks. But this info came from her

"We have found that it typically takes three weeks for files to be uploaded to their systems, and that they do not take action on them before they are uploaded...."

Yes, AOS I-864 for each parent. Now, you will have to wait for the NVC number and Invoice Identification number to be assigned, before you can do anything else, it takes 2-8 weeks. You can start call

The petitions for parents are separate, though, and only one parent is listed on each petition. My guess would be multiple persons applies to the beneficiary with dependents, i.e. IR-1/2 or K-3/4. AO

I sent my mom on 4/21 and not news yet :( I called last week and talked to a supervisor and she said that is taking 8 months so hopefully we can hear good news before new year

I am not help but I think it would just delay your papers not necessarily dead line.. besides who are they to put deadlines, they can't even meet theirs hahah =)

You have one year, so you are okay. While waiting for the AOS, you can send your IV packet ahead.

Good news all.

Both my parents now are updated by USCIS.

Initial Review

On December 11, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.

Would anyone know how long from here will we get NOA2, approval? What what should we do now to prepare documents. So excited and speechless.

I got this notice today and i got confused. My NOA2 says they shipped the petition to nvc nov 19 and this notice came in my email today:
