Yes, you can file Choice of Agent online as soon as you have the number. Yes, they only accept online forms now.

1 year is what I read but I see people saying 3 years so I was wondering. I requested transcripts and got them today.

I have not seen the DS260 (formerly Ds230) online forms.. for those of y'all who have filled it out, does it necessary have to be the beneficiary to fill them out, or We, as the petitioner can do it?

From my understanding those forms are not available on the USCIS website. You cannot access them without your NVC case # and invoice#.

You can fill them out yourself. I doubt most of the parents with no English on them can do it. There is a line there where you put your name as the person who helped.

Yes, I did both ds 261 for choice of agent and ds 260 as long as you know the information from the beneficiary..and make sure to review the answer/information before you submit the DS 260.

you can fill it up as the petitioner as long as you know the beneficiaries information...

Kerran, I think lingladyred kept calling NVC for her case.

The reason I ask is because the date NVC received her case is a couple days before NVC showed the case.

Why were they able to tell when it was delivered but it took them about a week to put the case in their system.

NVC told me to call back the end of December

Hi I am doing draft of my affidavit of support for my mom. I am confused and need some help.

I have income 2011 and 2012 not enough to petition my mom but my husband has enough income in the household 2010-2012. We are married filled joint.

So do I need to fill up Form I-864 and my husband I-864A? Then separate our income in each form?

Or I will fill up I-864 and check 1.a and my husband will also fill up I-864 and check 1.d and put our income in both forms? Will only answer 10 and will leave 11 and 12 blank? Is this the joint sponsor? Sorry if I am so dull about this Affidavit of Support.

You as sponsor/petitioner fill out I-864. Your husband as household member fills out I-864a.

Since you file taxes jointly, you put joint income on both forms.

That's how I understand it. I do not have any income of my own at all, and we file jointly.

Joint sponsor is NOT a household member and files separate I-864.
