After holding the line for 50 freaking mins, finally talked to an immigration officer.. and guess what?...... APPROVED!!!!

Only 4 business days after applying for Expedite processing, my mom's paperwork got approved!

I'm so excited, because I get to have my mom here when I deliver.

"On November 25, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

Hello, I just found out that my mom's expedite petition is approved last Nov 20th and the Senator's office will also help me in the process at NvC.

What will be the next process?

Jobel congartulations! We got approved on the same date. Right now we wait till USCIS send our case to NVC. so far no status update that they have forwarded the case to NVC yet.

I noticed you are a May filer , congrats for the NOA2 : ) hopefully I ( June filer ) will hear soon as well.

Was your expedited recently due to Typhoon or was it something else you have done to get it processed.

Because my representatives gave me a generic reply when I inquired about my file. Their answer was useless.

Hi, mine is not about the typhoon and it was submitted Oct 28th, it was slow expedite process. I think Cute_Patootie just recently approved, her expedite request was due of the typhoon. For sure you will here good news soon.

I called NVC today and they told me it takes 8 weeks for them together the case. I'll call back on Friday to see if they got it.

Received the hard copy of RFE today..they wanting an evidence that my mother is my real mom...they asking for church records,school records,hospital record,affidavit from two person or anything i can give..no problem!..i can provide all that...also, i think they messed up as well so that's they are asking for rfe bcoz it also said on the letter to describe the relationship of my brother to my mom bcoz they said that i put on my application that me and my brother were born two months apart..lol!..i reviewed the form that i sent and its clearly i put the correct bday...anyway, they are only human!..they make mistakes!..all i can do now is to provide the documents they want and my brother birthcertcate and the explanation..goodluck in our journey!and keep positive attitude!

What is your status before? If your reason for expedite related to typhoon, it will be fast.

So get ready all the documents needed once your petition approved at uscis.

Submit all orginal documents at NVC so that no delay

Yes, I applied for expedite related to typhoon. I have all the docs ready to be sent as soon as I get the case number from NVC. It will be a breeze hopefully.

Dunno. Honestly I am not in a huge hurry at this point (I know, right?). I have to settle some issues concerning the AoS, and it's probably better for me to file the AoS after filing this year's taxes, which would be mid- to late January.

I want to be done with it fast, but I might have to sit and wait to file I-864 anyway... So I probably won't start bugging them until a couple of weeks from now at least.
