Collie, I don't believe that is true. We have not been approved yet and we are from Feb. I know someone who took 1 year before approval. I think it is random. Shiela got very lucky! =)

Does anyone know which I-864 forms I should use? Or can anyone confirm...

My husband would be the sponsor for my mom and his mom because I don't work.

I would fill out the I-864 and he would fill out the I-864A for my mom.

He would only fill out the I-864 for his mom.

Is this right?

Hi Bryn&ellen, I am waiting a week after shipment of my file to NVC to start calling. See what this lady recommends. She is very good at explaining. She says after a week start calling 1-3 times a week and then everyday.

Kerran, I believe you are correct. 1-864 is for the petitioner and 1-864A is a joint sponsor like in my case I am not working but the same income jointly =) and yes your husband needs only 1864 for his parents =)
