On October 21, 2013, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Ellen, it seems that NBC is now transferring their I-130s to the local offices. I am not sure though if this is a good thing for us or not.Of course, we can only hope it is good

Which means they're been transfered to service centers and not local offices. Would that mean our cases will process first since our dates are older than their current processing dates?

We submitted my mother in law's I-130 on Sept 25 to the Chicago Lockbox address, and just last week, we got the NOA1, which stated that the Nebraska office will be processing the petition for her. The NOA1 was from the Nebraska office, the envelope had the Nebraska address on it as well. Even though we just sent it in less than a month ago, it still transferred to Nebraska. I too, am wondering how this will affect processing times...

Yup! That makes most of us now transfers. I got a the oficial letter from USCIS saying that my case had been transfer to the Nebraska Service Center. Has anyone had an experience with this center?

All we can do is hope something will happen.

Just to pass the time and make the wait a little easier.. Why dont we share a little about what we are looking forward to?

And to keep it short.. I came to US to study, met the love of my life and married him. I love my parents and never wanted to leave without them, so my dream was always to bring them to live with me. When I finally got my citizenship I was so happy, beyond ecstatic about bringing my parents and have them close. Right before I applied to bring them over, my sister who had not been back home for 8 years decided to visit my parents. On the second day of their vacation with my parents, they got into a serious car accident that claimed the life of my mother. While I will never understand why this happened so close to having her with me, everyday that passes is a torture knowing my dad is there alone waiting for this process to end. I count the days to having him here, enjoy all the things I wanted to do with both of them and resume our life together.

Hard times only makes us stronger.The time will pass and soon we will have our dear persons with us!

We submitted my mother in law's I-130 on Sept 25 to the Chicago Lockbox address, and just last week, we got the NOA1, which stated that the Nebraska office will be processing the petition for her. The NOA1 was from the Nebraska office, the envelope had the Nebraska address on it as well. Even though we just sent it in less than a month ago, it still transferred to Nebraska. I too, am wondering how this will affect processing times...

This might be a better news for you guys as you don't need to wait for NBC to "transfer" your case. Your wait might me shorter. keep us posted =)

Those who just got transfer from NBC, was your orginal NOA1 from Overland Park, KS? Mine, no update

No update on mine either, I think they started with February filers for now. My priority date was March 4 so I am waiting for updates as well. I am not sure which NBC it is coming from but I assumed both KS and MO
