The petitions for parents are separate, though, and only one parent is listed on each petition. My guess would be multiple persons applies to the beneficiary with dependents, i.e. IR-1/2 or K-3/4. AO

Yay! My case has been completed. I was worried that it'll take a long time. My mother's name on my birth certificate doesn't match her name on her birth certificate so I had to send several documents in addition to the basic requirements in order to prove that she is my mother.

Are you done paying your IV bill?

You're supposed to send them the original documents and photocopy after you're done paying your IV bill. I've read some people have submitted their documents before they pay their bill and was processed quickly. I've also read that some people's DS-230 and supporting documents were returned because the IV bill wasn't paid yet. It's upto you.

Are you done paying your IV bill?

You're supposed to send them the original documents and photocopy after you're done paying your IV bill. I've read some people have submitted their documents before they pay their bill and was processed quickly. I've also read that some people's DS-230 and supporting documents were returned because the IV bill wasn't paid yet. It's upto you.

Yes, we are done paying the bill. Just wondering if they would be accepting photocopy of the NBI clearance and her dad's military record because it normally takes about 7-10days before snail mail reaches the U.S. We wanted her family to email us a copy so we could submit civil documents faster. We have everything in the list except those 2 that I have mentioned.

So ... everything has to be original right? except for the biographic page of passport? What about the other members who already submitted their supporting documents? Could you kindly share what you did? Thanks again

In my experience with NVC lately, they process the snail mail faster than they reply to my emails. My guess is that with snail mails, they processed it quicker because the department is specified in the cover sheet. With emails, there's only 1 email address to send it to so even if the mail server has received your email, it's just sitting there waiting for a human to process it. It took NVC 4 business days to process my AOS, 5 business days, 7 days to process the DS-3032 that I had emailed. Mail from Philippines to US through UPS only takes 2 days. I recall somebody over here in VJ sending a photocopy of their documents to NVC in addition to mailing them. Their case was already completed, NVC had processed the one from mail. Then they got an RFE later after NVC got through their email asking them for the original documents. The petitioner called NVC to let them know that their case was already case complete but they were told that he'll be put under supervisor review because the one who answers the phone aren't the same people who processes the documents. Anyways, the supervisor review will take 20 days so they send another set of documents. I wish I can find that post but sadly after spending 5 minutes googling, I can't find it.

We got our interview date today of November 1. The NVC told us last week that we wouldn't be assigned a date until the second week of October. I suspected she might be wrong but I wasn't sure. The second week of the month interview scheduling only applies to those that doen't use electronic processing I believe.

Congratulations! I was excited to find out that you got an interview date because my mom might get one soon until I've read your last sentence. hehe

Well, it's only 2 weeks away before the second week of October. I haven't called NVC for a week now. Calling everyday won't make them issue me an interview date sooner!
