Nothing for my dad's petition yet. Anyone has experience on petitioning both parents and having trouble with one?

Is there anyone with esperience returning requested info to the NVC? We had to re send the DS-230 for my wife's parents because we didn't go back far enough with places lived. I sent it with tracking and it was delivered Monday 8/27. How long does it take the NVC to update everything and complete the case after receiving the info?

Hi guys, am trying to fill out this I -864 for my Mom's IR5 visa application. Anyway, since I got here my husband and I had always filed taxes jointly. And since last year, i really didn't work but for just a couple of months. That means he too has to fill out the I-864A, right? And also for our household income, are we both going to put the combined amount? Is 87K enough? It is me, him, his son, and hopefully my Mom.

Thanks in advance guys.

Case Complete for both parents today 8/31/2012. Now let's hope we get the next round of interviews in Manila. Can someone update us?

Hey everyone I was just looking at the US Embassy site in Manila to see what is needed for the interview preparation and all the items are the same as what was sent with the IV application. Do my wifes parents have to bring all the same items with them to the interview in Manila? Can anyone help with this? What is really needed at the interview in Manila

I've asked my mom to make duplicate copies of everything. She sent me a set and she kept one to bring to her interview in Manila. She didn't have to bring them since NVC is supposed to forward her documents to the embassy. However, in case some of them get lost during the transfer, then she would be able to easily present them during the interview. I signed two I-864EZ as well. I sent one to NVC and sent another one to my mom including my 3 years tax return, letter of employment and 6 months pay stub. The only thing that's required per I-864EZ instruction is the 2011 Tax return, W-2 and everything else is optional. I just sent the others to avoid delay in processing.

$87K is plenty. You fill out I-864 and hubby fills out I-864A. You put the combined income.

Thanks for the reply Mike. Am still confused on the following questions, hope u or anybody can help me again.

For I864

1. In Part 3 # 8 should I check Yes, that I'm sponsoring the principal immigrant and then check No also since I am using a joint sponsor?

2. 24.b. when i put my husband's current income, does it have to match with our 2011's 1040 form? Im asking because his current is slightly higher than what it was last year so Im confused figure should I write down.

3. 24c. It's asking for our total income, am no longer working but his pay increase made up for that so it will still be higher than our 1040 last year. Again, which figure should i write down?

I864a

1. Part 2 # 13 - I should be putting my name in that blank and then my Mom's name in 13.a, correct?

Thank's in advance for all your help guys.

-jean

Hey everyone, I made profiles on the US Embassy website in Manila and I was able to schedule interviews for both parents on October 3 2012. I then called the US embassy appointment line at (214-571-1600 this number is for calling from the US)and they said since they are husband and wife to just tell them when they arrive at the embassy that they are married and they will have same interview together. I pasted the link for the US Embassy Manila below. Not sure if all of this is possible in other countries but just wanted to let all the Filipinos know. Can someone update us?
