I read here on VJ that they really look into the last 3 years more than anything when come for overstaying! This is right?

To be honest, I don't know how long they look into it. It didn't even enter our minds to take that paperwork, we have since found the approval notices - 2005 and 2008. I would have thought if there was an issue (which there wasn't as it was approved) it would have been raised/brought to our attention before the interview.

BTW - passport has not arrived. Mom now thinks it was 10-15 business days.

IN MY MOM INTERVIEW LETTER THERE IS ONE THING I WANNA KNOW

IF a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of Support) AND provided the NVC with proof of

an IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax Return, the

applicant must bring the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax Return to the visa

interview.

CAN ANY ONE EXPLAIN ME WHAT IS THIS....

1. talk with the person that signed the I-864 about his/her taxes for 2011

2. any tax extensions filed? if so, read #3.

3. provide 2011 income tax return on interview day.

That's it.

So, if no extension filed,

how to show proof of filing extension?

I think you are confused about the extension, something (for you) that doesn't exist.

Passport arrived by Courier at 6.30am this morning. Flying into Tampa Thursday. Can anyone let me know how long it takes to get the actual Permanent Resident Card in the mail?

Just called NVC , and both cases are completed. The rep told m just wait for interview! Yohooooooo

Well we screwed up. NVC received the IV packet from us and I didn't realize my wife's parents didn't go back far enough with places they have lived since the age of 16. This is so stupid. What the hell are they gonna do with over 50 years of just city names. I bet they dont even check them. So now we have to send it again. Wonder how long it will take after the NVC gets the new form.
