The only comment I have is that the applications are being processed at the Vermont and California service centers. California is definitely going faster right now, but there seems to be a delay getting approved petitions from the CSC to the NVC.

We are the poster children for chain migration!

Yes, AOS I-864 for each parent. Now, you will have to wait for the NVC number and Invoice Identification number to be assigned, before you can do anything else, it takes 2-8 weeks. You can start call

The petitions for parents are separate, though, and only one parent is listed on each petition. My guess would be multiple persons applies to the beneficiary with dependents, i.e. IR-1/2 or K-3/4. AO

ITS BEEN 10 DAYS SINCE MY CASE WAS COMPLETED, RCVD EMAIL FROM NVC THT MY CASE IS COMPLETED, I CAN STILL LOGIN IN THE SYSTEM AFTER 10 DAYS, STILL WAITING FOR ISLAMABAD TO SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW, HOW LONG IT TAKES USUALLY TO SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW DATE...............

I would like to know this answer also. Or do we have to pay 88 for each parents because its a seperate application on IR5? Same question for visa fee next

One payment only for both cases and then 2x IV fee!It's the same petitioner sponsoring both parents!

I just paid one time 88 $ for both!

the Petitioner of this case who is a US Citizen, has paid the AOS fee for a related petition of another unmarried son, unmarried daughter, and/or parent which is also in process at the National Visa Center. Payment on the related petition also satisfies the AOS fee for this petition.

I have seen different answers on paying the AOS for both parents. We are waiting to pay the AOS for my wifes parents and want to make sure we do the right thing. Its 2 different cases with parents so I thought we would have to pay the 88 twice but it looks like that is not true. Can we get some feed back from others? What did everyone else have to do. With IR5 for parents did you pay 88 twice or just once for both parents?

Different answers! BEST to call NVC and ask isn't?

Finally got to pay the AOS today Aug 1st 2012. Can someone update us? I did call the NVC before paying and the 88 dollar AOS fee is only paid 1 time for both parents. It updates both parents as paid after paying once. FYI I also asked if I could mail both together and they said yes but make sure both have a cover sheet.

My mon & dad emailed it the same day that I got the case #. It was emailed from my parents' email address! It was a week ago! (last Tuesday)

Interview was successful.

Due to flooding in the streets the embassy closed early on the day before and opened late the day of our interview. We were very worried that our interview would be cancelled, but everything went well.
