My wife is also due on Sept 4 and we are hoping for our parents to be here before she gives birth. We are now in the NVC process and waiting for our case numbers. Good luck!

You can have your mother here by September :-) Just that prepare the documents before hand like the civil documents from the Philippines so that by the time they send you the forms thru email you can sent asap. I sent my petition Jan 15 and right now we are waiting for the interview date which if my mom would have her interview by July that would make it 6months :-) which is pretty fast. It could have been faster though if we didn't have an RFE and by that time they sent me the RFE it was already the HOLY WEEK vacation in the Philippines so it was delayed for liek 2 weeks from sending the Fedex docs here to NVC.

Request for Evidence. In my case it's about the residence of my mother since the age of 16. Just make sure you already have all the civil documents required from your Mom -- like NBI/Police Clearance, Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, photo ID...

Yes my mom has everything ready and she will send it to me tomorrow so I am hoping to send the DS-230 packet maybe 7 days from now. It's alright we're not really in a hurry right now.

I can see your timeline and I can say you are really zooming your way into the process! Way to go. BTW, I thought we only need the NBI Clearance? My parents have not been anywhere but the Philippines.

Second, what courier do you use to mail your docs from Philippines to USA? Thanks.

They use Fedex it takes 3days to get here.

I am pretty sure before you get NBI clearance you will need to get a police clearance first ( we included both on the civil documents package). My mom has been here many times but she doesn't need police clearance from here.

And yes we already have interview date that is July 6, 2011. It took less than 6months total for the whole process from sending my petition to USCIS, to NVC and the Interview... Hopefully everything is good with the medical and interview.

I am also waiting to get the NVC numbers. Probably next week. I am due on Sept 15th. My mom is so excited!!! I am been callibg but not numbers yet. I know it takes like a week or more, but i cannot wait to call and hear those numbers!!!

I am 100% sure you do not need Police Clearance to get NBI Clearance. My mom got one without it. You can also check NBI website. I think the NBI Clearance alone is enough to satisfy the Police Clearance requirement.
