Yes, AOS I-864 for each parent. Now, you will have to wait for the NVC number and Invoice Identification number to be assigned, before you can do anything else, it takes 2-8 weeks. You can start call

The petitions for parents are separate, though, and only one parent is listed on each petition. My guess would be multiple persons applies to the beneficiary with dependents, i.e. IR-1/2 or K-3/4. AO

Been lurking for a while and just now added info for my MIL. BTW, something else happened that I didn't expect today...I got 2 emails unsolicited from the NVC only 10 days after we got our NOA2. They had the NVC case number, beneficiary number, invoice number, and AOS bill. I was expecting a huge delay and then to have to call NVC repeatedly to get the process kicked off. Seems like a much better process already...curious if others have seen this new process also. Is this the new normal?!?

Now I see why it was so fast...cos you mailedyour I-130 on MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! :yes:

God has favored me with immigration *wink*

Seriously enjoy it since you are one of the few..hopefully there are no glitches

Thanks dear! :D and I do intend to stay around cos I only just started with immigration LOL. She said after the initial protocols and all documents were checked she approached the CO and was only asked three questions:

who is sponsoring you?

where does she live?

what does she do?

then ...congratulations, I am issuing you a visa, go and pick it up next wednesday

Good Morning,

I am I-130, IR-5 petitioner for both my parents. I am still waiting on NOA2 (NOA1 - Oct 17th, 2011) but want to prepare all documents for NVC in advance. So, for DS-230 I have to provide my (petitioner's)marriage certificate for the current and all previous marriages. However, I do not have my marriage certificates for previous ones. My question is, do I really need to send the marriage certificates or the divorce decrees (which I have) would be enough? Anyone with the same experience? I appreciate your help!

I-130 for both parents sent: 2011-10-10

I-130 NOA1 for both parents: 2011-10-17

Mom's case:

I-130 NOA2: 2012-03-30

Received at NVC: 2012-04-16

NVC# and IIN: 2012-04-30
