i always see to PAY NOW the IV fee but when I clicked it it goes back to 0. and no option to pay. do I need to call NVC about this or just wait? I paid the AOS on oct 11 and got PAID status on oct 16. ds 261 done a few weeks ago.

Today I submitted the DS-260. Hoping that my affidavit will be approve soon, case completed and get our appointment with embassy. I do have a question in regards to fees at the embassy. I am here trying to make sure I have saved enough money for when my mom has to travel to the embassy, have medicial,examination, vaccinations,x-rays. Etc.

when my mom have the interview at the embassy and they say: "Visa Approved", does my mom have to pay more fees? If so how much?

I am not sure if this varies with evey country but I am hoping some of you know. I just want to have an idea of how much money I should br coming up in the next few weeks.

So the USCIS timiline says that TSC is approving IR-5 in under 5 months. Means my father's petition can be approved any time now. Of course we had to wait for my mom's for 8 months when the normal processing time was five. Anyway, I won't be able to do the NVC part for my dad for another few months, since I will have to obtain his civil documents. The background check takes about 2 months, and he just ordered it last week. He did not do it earlier since my mom's almost expired while we waited. And he just got a divorce, so I'll need the originals of those documents, too. Mailing that stuff from Russia is very complicated and, even if possible, very expensive. Then there are the NVC fees that I can't afford at this time, because we are living off my husband's disability.

Looks like my dad is gonna have to wait about the same as my mom to get here...

Just giving this a little bump and hoping for some feedback. The embassy in Trinidad is not the most organized of institutions, so any advice given here would be much appreciated.

Well, after a rather long process, we got the emails today that NVC has finally finished the pre-processing for my parents and their files were being sent to the embassy in Trinidad. Their interview has been set for November 12.

Now, according to the local instructions, my parents have to go online, and create an account to sign up for the courier service for their passports. Unfortunately, they are not in the system and their appointment isn't showing up. I'm guessing that it's simply too soon to do this but my question is, for those of you who had to do this, how long from getting that email from NVC do you have to wait in order to be able to create an account with the local embassy. Or.. how long does it take for the embassy to receive the file?

I wish I had his civil documemts and could afford the NVC fees right now... Unfortunately, we're going to have to wait a few months. Still good to know he's been approved.

Yes, you can send the packet any time. They will review them once the payment clears.

Who May Use Form I-864EZ?

You may use Form I-864EZ IF ALL the following conditions apply

1. You are the person who filed or is filing the Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, for a relative being sponsored;
2. The relative you are sponsoring is the only person listed on the Form I-130 petition; - So, I am sponsoring my mother and father
3. The income you are using to qualify is based entirely on your salary or pension and is shown on one or more Forms W-2 provided by your employer(s) or former employer(s).
