Hello!

I am also trying to get my parents to come here but I have a question to ask.

After doing the DS-260, in the required civil documents, its said that marriage certificate is needed. Do I have to send mine (petitioner's marriage certificate) or my parents marriage certificate (whom I am petitioning for) ?

If I would have to send them mine, what should I do If I don't have a marriage certificate but a divorce degree? I got remarried but I don't have my marriage certificate for that either.

will it be okay? Please someone let me know.

How long does it generally take for the AOS form and evidence take to show up on ceac?? It was delivered over 2 weeks ago. And AOS fee was paid over a month ago and still no IV fee available to be paid. Any ideas why?? I intend to call tomorrow, just curious if this is 'normal', because we have had a hell of a time with things going in a timely fashion! Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much for your response. The reason I'm so confused about it is because I received this message so soon after filing. Most people I found that got the same message ware already waiting for months...I know I'm just impatient like everyone else going through this. Being away from your loved ones sucks big time.

I know how you feel, you are probably one of the lucky filiers. Who file and are approved in 2 weeks. I have on this process since june 2013, my daughter petitioned me, but i was stuck at uscis for 9months. Due to backlog, i was approved april 10 2014. Now i am stuck at NVC, due to backlog of quick approvals of i130. I guess i can not catch a break. Believe me you are very lucky, just hang in there. you should be at nvc by august hopefully

Hello everyone,

so I was told I needed a joint sponsor.

I have a feeling this questions was asked a million times...but here it is.

My join sponsor ( best friend) is married and filed his taxes with his wife, so on I864 ( AOS) , in 13-a 13-b 13-c does he put his total income as a couple? the one reported to IRS.

Or he needs to enter "his" portion only from the income?

Keep in mind, I dont want his wife to complete another form...I want to base this "joint sponsorship" on his income only. He makes good money.

I didn't encounter this problem, given I am single.

Thanks for asking. It's been a rough road, lessons learned and never to make similar mistake of using a Lawyer in future. I am on the last phase, still waiting for "completion of case". this journey started sometime last year in June...., to some people, it will seem not too long a time, but for a case that went to NVC since December 2013...it is something to worry about, but all things work for good.... and i praise God.

Glad for the progress you and others have made, I pray the journey will be smoother for rest of us, Amen.
