Call them and see if they can open those links. I called them on June 16th and they said the IV fees link will be open within month but it got open next day. As soon as you pay IV fees, it will take two days or less to open DS-260 link.

Call them either early morning or late night. They open at 7:00 AM and close at midnight EST. You may get constant busy tone..don't give up..keep pressing redial button..and you will be placed in a que after 10-15 redial (based on how many people there are in the que before you)

You should not wait for any communication from the NVC. Go ahead and pay AoS fee. Once you paid this fee, they will open DS 260 fee link. After couple of days they will open DS 260 application form link. Once you complete and submit DS 260 form online, send all required documents to the NVC via USPS/FedEx/UPS. Do not forget to place a Cover Sheet with Barcode. This sheet consist your father/mother name, case number, and address to send all required documents. You can find this Cover Sheet after you pay your DS 260 fees on the Payment Receipt page. You will see two tabs "Print Document Cover Sheet" and "Email Document Cover Sheet". Choose either one and print this sheet.

After you pay AoS fees, login frequently to see the DS-260 fee link is open or not. Do the same for DS 260 Application. All together it may take 7 to 10 days.

Good luck!!

You should read NVC wiki http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/478133-nvc-filers-february-2014/ and you will find a lot of answers there.

Yes, you should pay AOS fee and send the supportive AOS documents as soon as you have them ready. Triple check everything before you send it, make sure you put N/A in the blank spots ( people have been getting real stupid checklists). As for IV fee and DS-260, as of right now it takes MUCH longer for the IV fee to be invoiced ( I have being waiting for almost a month so far no news). Good luck ! Hope this helps

Trust me Angie it us not a stupid question. It's one we all ask because it's so damn confusing. Lol

Your husband will fill out the I-864 as the sponsor (petitioner) and you will fill out the I-864A as a household member (not joint sponsor) for the contract between sponsor and household member. You both sign the I-864A.

Timeline

I called USCIS and talked to a level 2 officer. He said both of my parents' petitions physically left NSC on 06/17/14 even though their petitions were approved on June 5. I got an email notice that they sent their petitions to NVC on June 11. I called NVC this morning and they said that they did not have my parents' petitions. When you I call them back? Thank you

It may take up to 30 days for NVC to receive and enter the cases in their system. I'd say call back 2 weeks after the date it left NVC.
