I sent them original documents and no you don't get them back.

In your case I would order a new one after I send in the one I have.

So we send all original birth certificates and marriage certificates and we do not get them back??? Why do they keep them? In Ukraine certified copies are not available, we only have originals...

Also, am I the only unlucky one who is waiting for DS-261 acceptance for over 2 weeks or is it a usual situation? I paid the AOS fee almost 2 weeks ago and IV fee in still not invoiced yet. Ahhh this waiting game is no fun....

Yes, AOS I-864 for each parent. Now, you will have to wait for the NVC number and Invoice Identification number to be assigned, before you can do anything else, it takes 2-8 weeks. You can start call

The petitions for parents are separate, though, and only one parent is listed on each petition. My guess would be multiple persons applies to the beneficiary with dependents, i.e. IR-1/2 or K-3/4. AO

Your beneficiary gets all the originals back at the interview. My mom got everything back.

Hi guys im new on this forum!!! Just have a question how long does NVC take to review a case? I had a checklist back in May 7th 2014 and sent documents back on the 9th and they said they received it on the 13th. I'm the Petitioner for my mom and dad.

Hi Katherine! My process with NVC is actually taking longer than some others taking in consideration that my expedite request was approved. According to other people's timelines IV fee can be generated about a week after DS-261 is filled out. I have been waiting for over two weeks for the fee to be generated and they keep messing with my DS-261 forms. On the other hand, my AOS were reviewed fairly quick as I am sending all the paperwork to IP Supervisor. If you mean that USCIS approved my I-130 pretty fast, that would be correct. I sent an expedite request to them also, never got an official answer but both cases were approved within 3 weeks. Both my parents currently reside in Ukraine where, as I would assume, you heard, there is a war... SO I'm hoping NVC will figure out my DS-261 and will generate my IV bills so we can keep moving on toward our reunion as every day I am praying for my parents' lives

Ohhh I usderstand!!!! Still yours was approved pretty fast mine took 6 months to get approved and still at nvc waiting to get the case closed ... one question what do u mean when u said expedite request what is that cause I dont know?

Expedite request is a request to fasten your process. USCIS and NVC both have this option under some specific circumstances (read here: http://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria) Based on the situation in my country I made my request to USCIS first and after sent an email to NVCExpedite. Both were granted. Good luck to you! Hope you hear good news soon!

14 May 2014 : Checklist emails received for all the IV and AOS documents (False Checklist?)

27 May 2014 : Received Checklist: asking 2013 Transcript (one checklist for each parent)

30 May 2014: Called NVC spoke with supervisor. The supervisor could not open the 2013 Transcripts we've sent in our AOS package on April21, because it was downloaded from IRS site. He said it was password protected.

We scanned the transcript and sent it to the supervisor at nvcinquiry@state.gov.

The supervisor was kind enough to wait on the phone and confirm that he has received our email with scanned transcripts attachments.

Supervisor asked another 3 weeks to review our cases.

01 Jun 2014: We sent 2 separate emails (one case # for each parent ) "Response to Checklist" to nvcelectronic@state.gov complete with all the attachments scanned into pdf.

04 Jun 2014 : Case Complete for both parents! ?

25 Jun 2014 : Medical done

22 Jul 2014 : Montreal interview. Approved! ?

09Sep2014 : Entry at Niagara-Buffalo Peace Bridge Officer also requested Green Card and SSN. We have received the Green Cards but we never received SIN. We requested the SIN cards again in November at Local Office and receiver the cards in one week.

Well .... atleast they are still scheduling July interviews. That gives me some hope. Just called in to see if they have issued an interview date for my cases and the answer was NO. So I thought I might as well should ask them if they are still schduling July interviews and the answer was YES. So really hope to hear something good this week.

My case was completed on May 20th, but they said no interview date yet. it sucks man

Wow ..... really.well i do some people getting interview dates around the same time. Maybe it has something to do with the capacity or scheduling at the local US Consulate. Well I dont even know how are tings at the local US consulate at my end. I am just hoping for something good.

USCIS Step:
04/19/2013: NOA1 for both parents
04/17/2013: PD
11/26/2013: Transferred to California Service Center

01/14/2014: Reply to RFE Received by CSC

01/28/2014: Email Update/Txt Received for Approval

02/01/2014: Approval Notice received in Mail

****** Both I-130s approved in about 9.5 months ******

NVC Step:

02/07/2014: Case Received by NVC

03/17/2014: Received Case/Invoice Number

03/18/2014: Submitted DS261

03/19/2014: Paid AOS online (one payment for both cases)

03/22/2014: Sent AOS Packages to NVC (separately for each parent)

03/24/2014: AOS Packages delivered to NVC (as per the USPS Tracking)

03/27/2014: IV Fees Available and Paid Online

04/05/2014: IV Documents sent to NVC

04/06/2014: DS260 submitted online

04/07/2014: IV Documents delivered to NVC

05/01/2014: AOS Approved

05/29/2014: Case Complete !!!

06/11/2014: Interview Letter Received via email

06/18/2014: Medical/Physical Exam Completed

07/03/2014: Interview Completed
