Yes, AOS I-864 for each parent. Now, you will have to wait for the NVC number and Invoice Identification number to be assigned, before you can do anything else, it takes 2-8 weeks. You can start call

The petitions for parents are separate, though, and only one parent is listed on each petition. My guess would be multiple persons applies to the beneficiary with dependents, i.e. IR-1/2 or K-3/4. AO

Does anyone know how long does it usually take for IV fee to get invoiced after AOS is invoiced and paid?

Your best bet is checking timelines WedekA. Mine was invoiced within a week of completing DS-261 but I have seen others that had theirs invoiced sooner.

Sure thing...

My mom's interview was scheduled for 8:30am... we arrived at 7:30am to try and get in early... but ended up getting through security by 8:25. We got checked in by using the interview letter and they took a look at my mom's passport. I had to get added to the list to be able to get in because I did not in advance since I didn't know. Make sure you check to see if your name is on the interview letter, and if it's not, just call the embassy and ask to get added... took 5 minutes. They gave us a number and we were called within two minutes of sitting down to go see the first employee. He was a nice man and he was strictly going over all the documents the NVC sent over and made sure everything was in order. He gave me back my birth certificate and marriage license, but kept everything else and asked for a name change deed since my mother had changed her name after her divorce. Took around 15 minutes to go through documentation, my mom got her fingerprints digitally taken, and then was told to sit down and wait for the next guy to call her up for the interview portion. It took roughly 30 minutes to be called up again (I think they only have one person doing IR-5 interviews) and I was allowed to be present during the interview but the questions were all addressed to my mother. Some of the questions:

Where does your petitioner work/live?

How many siblings does he/she have?

Why did you change your name?

When do you plan on coming over to the USA?

Took roughly ten minutes to interview and they he notified us that she has been approved. We were told we have six months to enter the USA from when the chest xray was taken and then we went outside the Embassy and went over to the other side to were the US Citizens go to sign up the DX courier. It cost $8 and my mom received her passport and the big brown enevelope that cannot be opened till you reach your Port of Entry. All in all, very smooth and easy. Just make sure to bring an umbrella if there is any rain as the line you wait in has no cover. If you have any other questions, let me know.

Ok, I'm back in the game. Mailed I-130 packet for my father today to Phoenix lockbox.

Let's hope his journey will take less time than my mom's.

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

Yes this must be made before entry to US. Or atleast thats what the website says. So either the applicant or the beneficiary can pay online.

The email came approx. 1 week later. Call constantly to get your interview date. I got mine and it wasn't until another day or 2 that the interview letter came through.

I have the question about AOS package for my friend. She petitions her parent. So

- Does she need 2 packages: one for her mom and one for her dad?

- About the AOS detail for each package example her mom:

+ Part 2. Information on the Principal Immigrant : Her mom information

+ Part 3. Information on the Immigrant(s) You Are Sponsoring: Because her dad has separate package - Do her need to input his information here?

+ Part 5. Sponsor's Household Size: if her family size is 3 and now she sponsor her mom and her dad

* Persons you are sponsoring in this affidavit: 4 (include her mom) or 5 (include her mom and her dad)? Please give us the advices

* If you have sponsored any other persons on an I-864 or I-864 EZ who are now lawful permanent residents, enter the number here.: What is the number should input?

Thank you Collie. I called them yesterday and today to find out about the interview but they keep on saying the same thing

its too late to schedule for June interview ...which I already know. Its already May 31st. tell me when and how soon you r going to issue July date. I hope I don't have to wait another month for them to schedule interview.I am thinking within a week or so they should schedule the interviews ... right?

Anyone has an idea about the schduling of interviews and how it works. I have herd that that they do it in the last and/or the first week of the month. People who got their cases completed around 5/19-5/20 were getting interview schduling till 05/30. Now I got my case completed on 05/29 and so far no wrod about the interview date.

I just hope I dont have to wait for another month just to get interview date scheduled.
