This is the same BS that I dealt with. Email the NVC asking them to case complete you as they are all certified copies/originals and the original reviewer should be held accountable for not looking properly. I put mine to the attention of the DR and was case completed in 24 hours.

You're lucky that your turn-around is only 24hrs. My parents still under review cuz of the checklist. I can't believe these worker(s) does not know what is a copy or a certified copy. How the hell they get hired?

You would wonder - If they would just take a little more time when initially reviewing, they would save a heck of a lot of time in sending out unnecessary checklists and wasting supervisor's time in having to review check-listed items.

Hope your parents are reviewed quickly so that you can get a case complete.

Hello everyone! just an update! I called NVC on May 05, 2014 and was told my mom's case is already complete. Got the official email notification for case complete May 07, 2014. Then today I received my mom's interview appointment letter which is scheduled for June 11, 2014, 6:15am at the embassy in Manila, Philippines!

Hi all4good! My mom's interview was scheduled by NVC. But I think you can change the date and time by calling the US Embassy in Manila.

My mom's interview was scheduled by the embassy because it was expedited but from what I understand you can change the date with The embassy.

My MIL's case is still processing so I'll try that too when the time comes.

Well, I have no good news yet. My mom's amended police certificate is still not done. It's been over 6 weeks since she ordered it. We were planning for my dad taking it to Moscow this coming Tuesday, but that's not going to happen. So when she finally has it in hand, a special trip to Moscow will have to be made to drop it off at the consulate. At this point I do not expect my mom to have her visa in hand before mid-June at the earliest. Hopefully she'll be able to come in August, which will make her visa journey a year and a half long.

damn nvc ppl. They think that every country certified the same way as USA where there an embossed stamp. I called them last Friday and they still said it's a copy of certified of my parents birth and marriage certificate. The rep asked her supervisor while i was on a phone and told me to email again for the checklist dispute. I told her that in Cambodia, there's no such thing as embossed stamp. They only had regular stamp and it's either handwritten or type then sign and stamp. The place was approved by Cambodia's embassy. Let see again.

They said they email me a 2nd checklist on the 16th of May but until now i have not receive it. I only receive the first checklist.

I hate this business of checklist. And you are right. Documents issued outside US are not the same as they are issued here. They still have to review the original birth certificate I sent part of 2nd checklist. Edited May 19, 2014 by livstrong

They had the document but they said they only have copy and they did not have the color copy (certified). I spoke with the 2nd supervisor and they kept saying there's no color certified in her system just black/white (copy) doc. They must have lost my certified document for both parents. Damn, now telling me to wait 15 business day for her to personally check on it but then at the end told me that it's going to be the same result.

This is my 3d email to NVC. The last 2 email, i never receive any auto-reply. NVC rep told me I should get an auto-reply when emailing them but i never did. Hopefully this third one goes through. I'm so piss off and here's what i wrote on this 3rd email.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Today, May 19, 2014, I call NVC and they told me again that they only had a copy of my father's (name) birth and marriage certificate.

On April 16, 2014, I had mail a two pocket folder. One side of the pocket had all the certified documents (stamp is in color by GO Co., Ltd Translation & Interpreting in Phnom Penh), and the other pocket was just copy for NVC to keep so that they do not need to make copy.

It's come to my concern that the first person who review my father documents had lost or miss place the original certified documents and I'm very disappointed how NVC staff(s) is very carelessness on it's customers' file and unorganized.

I am requesting the first person to find my father's file to be immediately reviewed for this checklist as it is not my nor my father error when the first reviewer miss place or lose my father documents.
