This is a reference for preparing packages for NVC. Hope this will help you with a NO Checklist. I do not have a checklist and AOS was approved. Still waiting for IV package to be reviewed.

Here is what I submitted for AOS Package:

• Petitioner

• AOS bar-coded cover sheet
• Form I-864 (signed and dated)
• 2013 Tax Transcript with W2
• 2012 Tax Transcript with W2
• 2011 Tax Transcript with W2
• Online Employment Verification from https://www.theworknumber.com --> only if your company participate in it.
• 4 months of pay stubs
• Copy US Citizenship Certificate

• Co-sponsor (if needed)

• AOS bar-coded cover sheet
• Form I-864A (signed and dated)
• 2013 Tax Transcript with W2
• 2012 Tax Transcript with W2
• 2011 Tax Transcript with W2
• Letter of Employment
• 4 months of pay stubs
• Photocopy of Marriage Certificate <-- if your spouse is a co-sponsor
• Photocopy of US Citizenship Certificate

Here is what I submitted for IV Package:

• IV bar-coded cover sheet
• Two (2) passport-size photographs of beneficiary (case number, beneficiary’s full name, and date of birth are written on back of both)
• Photocopy of the biographic data page of beneficiary’s passport
• Certified copy of the birth certificate of beneficiary
• Certified copy of the marriage certificate of beneficiary
• Original police clearance certificate of beneficiary
• Certified copy of the birth certificate of petitioner
• Certified copy of Marriage Certificate of petitioner
• Copy of US Citizenship Certificate of petitioner

I already submitted my AOS docs and on the website it did say that if you submit IRS transcripts you do not need to submit W2 I hope i don't get a checklist because of that....I also did not submit my citizenship cert with AOS or paystubs but i did submit my proof of current employment (print out from the work number as well). I'm going to go ahead and submit a copy with the IV docs, luckily I haven't sealed the envelope yet.

You do not need to submit DS260 with IV Package

Thanks, I ended up reading a little and realized that it is not even available until the payment clears and it was just invoiced and paid today. I already have all other docs and have made copies. I have originals on one side and copies on the next (trying to be as organized as possible).

I'm praying I won't get any checklists..especially since I had all the w2s and paystubs ready and ended up not sending them because the website said w2s are not needed if sending IRS tax transcripts....Everything else was good though...My employment letter showed the same date I sent the packet so hopefully that will suffice, especially since paystubs and employment letter was more optional than required.

Update:

Just call NVC and they said that my married license was a copy?? lol. Don't they feel the stamp? I told them I got this from Register of Wills Clerk of the Orphans’ Court and they stamp on it. I said maybe they only look at the copy side cuz I put in a 2 pocket folder and wrote a big letter on it saying Orginal (right pocket) and Copy (left pocket).. They told me to ignore the checklist for now and they will have the supervisor review again.

Is there a higher level I can talk to like USCIS teir 2?

Damn,, I get a checklist on IV but the documents i sent was all original and/or certified.

The birth certificate is for the applicant or the beneficiary. You can always send in your copy of the birth certificate as oart fo initial packet for IV but they are actually looking for certified copy or original for the benficiary. And when I say certified, it has be certified by the same issuing authority that initially issued the birth certificate.

I am saying this becuase this just happened to me. And so they asked me to send in the original becuase the person who certified although notary public was a person from one of the local courts and not the person from where the birth certificate was actually issed. So I had to send in the original. Now I am wiaitng for them to review and approve me case ...... hopefully soon.

This is the same BS that I dealt with. Email the NVC asking them to case complete you as they are all certified copies/originals and the original reviewer should be held accountable for not looking properly. I put mine to the attention of the DR and was case completed in 24 hours.

Yeah you do that. Whats the harm in sending them an email. Its jsut that they are not very efficient in replying back. Everytime I send them an email, I think they take like a month or more to reply. But still its good to send an email and then perhaps followup the next day just to make sure someone actually read and acted on that email.

I just completed DS-260 for my mom but at the end of it, it says even if it is prepared by someone else it has to be signed by the applicant. Does this mean my mom (not computer savvy in the least) has to sign it?

I was planning to download the DS-260 and send the last part to my dad so he can sign it. However, if there's a way to complete and submitting on CEAC. I would much rather do that.

Another question. I'm also planning to accompany my dad on his interview day. Is it possible that they will let me?

DS-260 can be done online tru CEAC.STATE.GOV U can fill up on his behalf. u just need info from him

DS260 is all online. It cannot be printed or singned by hand. Everything is electronic. Once its done and submitted you must print out the application for your records and also to send to the beneficiary (if you want). The petitioner can always fill out the application on behalf of applicant. You just need to disclose it at the end that you and not the applicant filled out this application.

This is what I wrote:

Dear Sir/Madam,

With reference to the above mentioned case, I am emailing to request that this case is immediately reviewed for the checklist that I received. The checklist stated that my marriage certificate was not an original or certified copy. The certificate is a certified copy and has the embossed stamp on it, provided by the Johnson county clerk office in Texas.

Additionally, it was requested for my mother to furnish an IRELAND police clearance certificate. The Immigrant Visa packet contained a police certificate from NORTHERN IRELAND which is part of Great Britain. My mother is not Irish and she does not live and never has lived in Ireland. Northern Ireland is part of GREAT BRITAIN and the embassy chargeability is LONDON. She therefore does not need an Irish police clearance certificate. The British certificate clearly meets the requirements.

I am requesting for my mother's file to be immediately reviewed for this checklist as it is not my error. My priority date on this case is 28th March 2013 and I have had numerous delays due to the wrong embassy case number being issued and now this recent issue. I highly recommend that the personnel who review the files are aware of the difference between Northern Ireland and Ireland, as this has cost my family additional time and money and I am sure has also been an unnecessary waste of time for the personnel who has to review the case numerous times for errors made by the NVC personnel.
